Encouragement Along the Way

Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.

Psalm 34:3

Thank you so much...My S&T is just a TELL

Lori gave me such a lovely verse for my speaking engagement last night. It was exactly wha I needed for it is exactly what the Lord did. The verse is Jeremiah 1:9 "Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: 'Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.' "

As I said earlier, for the last year or two the pastor at our local community church has bee trying so hard to bring community together for these gatherings. They only happen every two months with a break through summer. And they seem to come most often for the social gathering and not the Lord. Yet last night was different in so many respects. The cooks were men from three or four different churches. Until now, they had always been men from the one community church. And the worship team (from three different churches) was a gift from the Lord first to me and then to them. Half of the songs they sang were from my notes. By the time they were finished I was ready to completely step aside and let the Lord have his way. Well almost, my hands were clammy holding the mic as they had never done that before. My breathing in the mic caused me to be abit nervous, but ten minutes into it I was no longer sharing my words, but the Lord's heart. I so hope they hit their mark.

The theme of the night was The Country fair and although my topic was chosen for me, somehow I managed to share my testimony and hopefully reminded them that their is a whole generation that doesn't even know they are suppose to have questions, let alone ask them, and they have the answer.

I even sent them home with a take home paper to remind them. My Topic was "Preserving your Thoughts" Lori would have been good at the Preserves part. I thought for my show and Tell I wouldpost their Take home paper. Thank you so much for your prayers I was overwhelmed by them as I stood there. You are all awesome!

P.R.E.S.E.R.V.E.S

Pray for one another

1 Sam. 12-23

As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right.

Remain in Christ

John 15:4

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me

Eliminate Sin

1 John 1:5-7

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Surround yourself with believers

Acts 2:42

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Equip the Next Generation

Psalm 34 :11

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord

Victory

Psalm 44

3 It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them

Encourage

Col 2:2

My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,

Seek

1 Chron.16:11

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always

Because of Jesus, Bobbie

I promise I will come back tomorrow and read ALL about what God spoke through you. I just wanted to share that the hutch was the Gr. grandfather that was a rabbi that my hubby was named after. Because it is tradition of to name your child after the most recent relative that passed away. His wifes initials are the same as mine. So my hubby's and mine are the same as theirs were. [0=

God Bless and I WILL be back tomorrow (((hugs)))

It's so good to hear that you had a good night. Now you have returned the blessing to me with the P.R.E.S.E.R.V.E. verses. Every day my husband passes out scriptures to all of the guys he works with. I am going to copy and print out the preserve scriptures for all of them for this week. These are sure to set a fire under their thirsty souls. Thank you for being the encouragement that you are.

((((BIG HUGS)))))
Love ya,

Bobbie,

What a wonderful mnemonic to remind us all ~ to live as citizens of the Kingdom. Marissa and I have been studying Kingdom living.

About Me

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. This blog is a homeschooling devotional from a bubbe's point of view or watching the next generation excel where I only succeeded.
