Patriots Day
Today, Sept 11th does have a name. It is called Patriot's Day.
Here is the post I wrote last year concerning this day in History. I will not be blogging today as my way of honoring those lost, then and those how who are insuring it never happens again! We lift up our Armed Forces Families to the Lord and say thank you. Your sacrifice is noticed and we love you for it!

I just finished reading one of your previous posts on homeschooling high schoolers. You spoke of doing things like a high school ring, jacket, etc. I really appreciate you sharing these things. I am officially homeschooling a high schooler this year. It's a new ballgame for me. I've been homeschooling for years. But high school feels like a whole different thing. I appreciate advise and input from those who have homeschooled high schoolers.
I look forward to reading more on your blog!
Sincerely,
Karen

Amen sister! Have you heard the song "Statue of Liberty"? It goes ~
"In New York Harbor, stands a lady with her torch raised to the sky. All who see her know she stands for liberty for you and me. I'm so proud to be called an American, to be named with the brave & the free. I will honor our flag and I'll trust in God, and the Statue of Liberty.
On lonely Golgotha stood a cross, with our Lord raised to the sky. All who kneel there live forever, as the saints can testify. I'm so glad to be called a Christian. To be named with the ransomed & whole. I will honor the flag and I'll trust in God, and the Statue of Liberty."
Give or take a few jumbled up words. This is my version. Hee Hee. I couldn't find the song on Google, so this is from my sad memory.
Love ya,
Lori

I just love reading the supportive posts about today. Today is so hard for me because it's a day that I remember how I almost lost my father to the Pentagon attack but I also remember how much it's changed our world. I am so grateful for the support people show our military and it NOT be in the idiosyncratic manner of "I support our troops but not the war." (Kinda like saying "I support our law enforcement but not them doing their job.") I hope you have a good day and you too will be in our prayers! T
