Friday Show and Tell with Canadagirl!
Posted in Tags
We have been having so much fun with our Beautiful Feet History Curriculum we bought for 30 dollars this year! We have finished up Leif the Lucky and added our hands on, here are the scissors go for it art class to it.
The task was to create something from the story of Leif Erikson. Their creativity shines when the are given a fre pass to create. Each one had a similar thought yet the results are as individual as they are.

Everyone comes together. Chooses their colors and the magic happens. Talia the littest one concentrates so ard but has yet to master a pair of scissors, but she keeps trying. However she has mastered the Potty! WooHoo! Hooray for Cinderella underpants!

My favorite thing about "back to school" is 20 cent gluesticks so no one has to fight over them!

The results>>>>> From th eLeft to right Top to bottom>>>>>
Jaden has Leif Going to get the dragon head from the front of the ship during the storm (he loves adventure) , Zemeira pays attention to detail and with a hole punch makes little Viking Shields to line her Ship as it sails to Norway to visit the King (she is a Princess after all and Kings and Castles draw her attention) , Kezziah Includes America in her picture and focuses on the New Lands they are finding, she too is very detail oriented and decorates all the little shields and includes Icebergs, Malachai's next to her's is 3-d and mobile Notice the Stick??? It causes the ship to go Side to side over the choppy seas, and above His is Tirzah's She focuses on the wedding in the story. Always the romantic she adds the Bride that goes off to live in the New Land after all women were there too!
So there you have it. This is our Show and Tell (or Speak and Peek which ever you prefer) with CanadaGirl. If you would like to join us, add your name to Mr Linky at her site
Oh And that very handsome young man in the phot on the Wall is my son Matthew when he was in the Air Force!

Cinderella underpants. ROTFL. They all did great on their Lief Erikson pics. My favorite has to be Malachai's! I like how he made the ship mobile. Very creative. You knew that we would be wondering about the handsome fellow on the wall, didn't you? Nice looking young man you have there! I'm on page 21 of your book. I'm really enjoying it so far.
Blessings,
Lori

I assume those are your grandkids, right? You guys are putting me to shame. Oh. Wait. I am going swimming this morning with the kids at the local $1.00 swim for homeschoolers. So maybe I shall redeem myself in my own eyes as a grandmother who sometimes tries to help her DD homeschool. I do suggest things and buy things for her homeschooling. Wait. I'm going to help her DS4 with his Cubbies book every Wednesday. Does that count? :-)

All of the kids are so very talented.
Princess underwear... I don't think David will like those. I wonder, wonder how I will get him out of a diaper?
