Encouragement Along the Way

Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.

Psalm 34:3

Super Saturday Women's Luncheon

We had such a nice ladies luncheon at church today. It began with a little shopping time. There were quilts to buy and doilies all for raising money for Missions plus craft tables filled with scrapbooks, rubberstamped cards jewelry and aprons. The food was done by my dear friend George and it was so yummy once I got to mine, I visited and prayed with Sally quite a while. The highlight of the luncheon was our speaker/singer Sally Klein O'Connor. I love hearing her stories, her testimony and her songs. She reminds be so much of Carole King and I loved Carole King.

Sally shared about forgiveness today and about her trip to Germany, Poland and the Concentration camps she went to while she was there. Oh how tender her heart is and how precious the Love of the Lord is coming out of her. How blessed was my heart.

Since I could not take you with me, I thought I would share her with you through one of her songs I really love. It is called "I Just want to see you there "and she and her husband Michael wrote it for her Father. I hope you will enjoy this song as much as I did. I pray it will bless you and that you will send it to all the people you love and want to see "There" too. That is why I am sharing this with you, because I love you and want to see you there at the Supper of the Lamb.

Let me know what you think of it.

Nov. 5, 2007 - What do I think?

I think the song was beautiful. I closed my eyes and it was a testimony. The part about not wanting to sit next to an empty chair at His table was poignant.
Can't you hardly wait? I'm a "forever girl" and if you want to talk about Eternity, I'm your gal. One of my favorite sayings: Eternity--the Ultimate Adventure!

Amen! What a beautiful song. I look forward to the day that " I see you there". I may never meet you in person on this side of heaven but one day, there I believe with all my heart I will see you there. This song reminded me of something I want to say to my old friends. The one I partied with, the ones who think I am crazy for giving my life to The One I can not see with these earthly eyes. I just want to see them there. Thanks so much for your prayers, my head is better and thanks so much for sharing this song. It will stick with me.
Be blessed.

About Me

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. This blog is a homeschooling devotional from a bubbe's point of view or watching the next generation excel where I only succeeded.
