In my husband's family there has been a soldier in every American war since the Revolutionary War. My Beloved Michael comes from a long line of Soldiers, Policemen and Pastors. He is the culmination of all three. Honor , Integrity, Duty to God and Country, this is the blood that beats in his heart and the heart installed my his father and taught to his son .

So on Veterans Day I want to Thank the Lord for the Veterans in my life. Starting first with the three men that hold my heart. Al Howard, US NAVY ; Michael Howard US AIR FORCE (retired) ; Matthew Howard US AIR FORCE.

Here they are all together. Way before Matthew was old enough for his uniform to fit , he now towers over their 6 foot frames.

Although dark and fuzzy, this is Michael's retirement ceremony. For twenty years he looked amazingly handsome in his uniform for our country.

This is my equally handsome son, Matthew. In the Air Force he was a F-15 Crew Chief. He is now a husband and daddy and a civilian!

There are other family members I want to honor as well today. For red, white and blue leaves grow on our family tree.

My Neices! Ruth Mary US NAVY; Terri US NAVY and Karin US AIR FORCE.

And Uncle George US ARMY; Aunt Valerie US ARMY, Dennis US ARMY and Keith US NAVY (currently serving)

And all of our friends )you know who you are) real and virtual I treasure you and your families for the sacrifices you make to keep this country great.

Oh And Congrats to Clancave who gave birth yesterday to her son Erik! Her Soldier husband was by her side which in the Military is a miracle! Congratulations Clanclave Family! And Thanks Travis!
