Chanukah in pictures S&T with CanadaGirl

Welcome to the continuing saga of Chanukah 2007!
Today is Show and Tell with CanadaGirl and there is no better way to invite you into our Holiday celebration than in pictures. If you are here from HHOP and would like to see more Show and Tells, please go over to CanadaGirl's blog and join us!
Decorationg for Chanukah this year was done by Malachai and Kezziah

It looks like this now

Then it was time to make Latkes

We had three potato peelers, Malachai was first

Tirzah was next...

Talia was such a good helper as always she gets her stool and dives in!

With twenty pounds of Potatoes it takes a lot of hands

Ok, She is just the cutest thing!!!!!

Kezziah peeled, measured, mixed and fried the Latkes!

While we were in the kitchen Jaden and Zemeira were hard at work in the Dining room

The thrill of Victory! ( Ok I don't have a picture from Last night when Yalia was the victor, but hearing that two year old shout Gimmel and getting on almost every time was Hysterical!!!!)

Finally it is time! The Latkes are done all 150 of them and the stage is theirs!

They were the cutest dreidels and although you don't she her here even as a blur, Talia did not spin she Ran as fast as she could in front of all the dreidels form one end of the stage to the other, much like the gingerbread man, (but that is a different holiday).
The next night was solemn and still as my Beloved and I worship together.

Happy Chanukah from my family! May the Lord set your heart ablaze every time you see a candle burning!

If you want to join Show and Tell with Canada girl come Here, we love company!

we had a quiet night last night.. said the blessings as we lit the candles, then we just sat there in the dark looking at the candles.. no stories, no games, no food.. too tired.

The other day you mentioned your e-book Adventures Along the Way, which of course I hadn't read yet.. so I thought I'd open it today.. I'm reading along.. and I come to the words Hurricane Andrew.. and I well up with tears. I know what happened there.. I'm bracing for the rest of the story.
Praise Adonai.. for I know the outcome - merely because you've written it.. Praise Adonai that you are here to tell the story.. and for me to be able to read it. Praise HIM!

Oh, thank you for sharing your celebration times with us. It all looks yummy and FUN. Those look like neat dreidels. I have little wood ones. Do you fill them with something ? I have to ask do you also have a Christmas tree or no ? I thought I would ask. Just curious. [0=
