Just came home from the Doctors
hey guys, I just came home from the dr and am now on my way to the hospital for an ultrasound on my leg. Seems he thinks I have a blood clot (deep vein thrombosis). First pray it is not there. Really my Beloved could handle pretty much anything like a popped tendon etc than this since his sister just died from a blood clot! Second pray my doctor gets the results today and we don't have to wait until Monday.
I have peace, but Chanukah will be difficult with Bube elevated!
Thanks, love you guys!
Update
I am on the couch, with my leg elevated waiting to hear from the dr. The tech spent a lot of time under my knee and did my whole vein from the top of my thigh to my ankle. Silly me I thought she would just do the calf area the dr had pressed on.She said if it is postive they would admit me right away . I really think it is just my knee saying I am done. It has been eight years since they said I would need a new knee. So i will let you know when I know. Thank you so much for your prayers I love you guys! Be back soon!
Another before I go to bed update
I have not heard from my doctor so I am going to take that to mean it is not a clot and will keep my leg elevated til I hear from him probably Monday. Your prayers have blessed me so much and I have so much peace. My leg has been hurting since Thanksgiving. It just took a lull in the activities to get me to go. I never even considered a clot as a possiblity.
BUT tonight my beloved made dinner, steak and ravioli. He even brought me a glass of lime sparkling water and later brought me hot cocoa... hmm I like this pampering!
Thanks so much, sweet dreams and I will see you all in the morning.

I'm praying hard for you! I had an U/S for the same thing a few months ago, and they were able to tell the results immediately, so I'm praying that you'll have the same experience!
Waiting to hear how you're doing...
Hugs,
Denise

ABBA - Bobbie's not finished here, she's not, I just met her, I just met her, please don't let anything bad happen to Bobbie.. Abba, I pray that you're healing hands will be on her, that YOU will remove this blood clot, without need of surgery, without even the need for the diagnostic tools.. Abba, your word has been lived out in Bobbie's life already, and so I pray, Heal us oh Lord and we shall be healed.. these are YOUR words, that we pray for Bobbie, that you will heal her, that you will heal her as you said you already have done at the cross - We're standing on that promise.. B'Shem Yeshua HaMeshiach Amen

Bobbie,
I am praying for you and will be continually until i hear that you are okay. Surely if she'd seen a clot you would not have been allowed to leave. I'm always hoping for the best.
Keep us posted!
((((Hugs)))),

Yes, that is probably a good sign, not hearing from the doctor. I had a superficial blood clot behind my knee after I delivered Grace. I had to keep my leg elevated. They were not worried about me. It dissolved on its own. Just tricky having a new baby, a one year old and an elevated leg! But we managed! (Then mom got bit by the snake and well you know the rest of the story!) Take good care of yourself.

I'm sorry to hear about your leg. Do they have you on a blood thinner? We just went through this with my husband in July. He did have a DVT. There are worse things, though. He is fine now, but is on a blood thinner for life since they found that he has a gene mutation the makes clotting more likely.
Hugs to you, and prayers that you will be pampered and loved on all weekend, and feeling much better by Monday when you get a good report from your doctor.

Yikes! That is actually my worst nightmare, my legs are full of huge purple veins. What has your leg felt like? A constant pain or traveling pain or what? I hope and pray it's nothing serious for you.
Re: self-taught.. yep I agree on the battle cry. I did more learning myself after graduating from PS too ;)
Re2: Chanuka.. I've learned so much abt the Jewish lifestyle just from HSB moms lol. I found this neat video explaining Hanukkah too:
