It is time to move on to Christmas and Christmas traditions but before I do I thought I would share some of my favorite Chanukah moments.
The Arrival at Bubbe's house, the Lion of Judah! Talia loves this costume coat that we bought last year at Old Navy the day after Halloween for 31 cents! It is warm and padded and oh so cute!
The following pictures are of the fighting Maccabee Army! Okay not really, but their favorite Chanukah present was made by "PA" and since it was raining and cold the first Marshmellow war was in my House!
These first two remind me ( and yes I am that old) of Patty Hearst!
Why did I get a pipe for Chanukah?
Judah Maccabee? or the next Shofar blower in the family?
My favorite gift, I gave, was this new Liz Curtis Higgs book to my daughter. She was so happy to get it. But...
Then she saw the personalize autographed name plate. Notice "Pa" in the background pummelling small children with mini-marshmellow.
The Grandchildren decided that "Pa" needed THIS!!!!
This is the Star or the book and the grandchildren are in stitches over it.
And this was MY favorite Chanukah present... A reminder to all This is Who I am!!!! Bubbie! (Like Chanukah it has many different spellings!) I was told by a few people at Bible Study the shirt guy had spelled Bobbie wrong...
Then we went to Great grandpa's and discover our new family toy. A Go-Cart that Pa says is his and the four oldest drive. Thus there are no arguments over ownership.
Since I was upstairs being good with my leg elevated I did not get to watch this. However I am sure there will be a Friday Show and Tell about this in the future. This WAS going to be MY FRIDAY SHOW AND TELL with Canadagirl. but it is Monday......
So that is Chanukah 2007. Now on to Christmas. The decorations came down the day after Chanukah so we could celebrate Jaden's eighth birthday. After having our Pirates of the Carribean Party we now have up Christmas decorations.
Welcome to Christmas at Bubbe's house!
