I have never had an MRI until today and the results will get to me on Thursday at my Doctor's appt. I do however have things I want to share with you that I did not know about myself. First, I have the ability to listen to Jazz (Tiany this is especially for you) and NOT tap my foot! Now mind you if I was doing a meme about strange but true facts , the fact that I tap my foot all day long, wiggle my toes and dance at church even when the music stops and I am sitting down (hee hee) makes the fact that I listen to Jazz for 40 minutes including Ray Charles, Nat King Cole and Natlalie Cole plus amazing instrumentals and kept both of my feet still is a miracle!!!!
Secondly, Jazz music and prayer is compatable to one another! I could close my eyes and pray, not tap my feet, thank God for things like water at Mary's , pray for those I love and desire the Lord to draw nearer to him (like my Secret Sister and my family), rejoice over the gift of music and thank God for talented musicians. prayer for my grandchildren and their tender hearts for the Lord and all the while stay perfectly still and awake!
Thirdly, I can leave the house without any metal including the eyelets on a bra and feel completely naked because I am not wearing my wedding ring!
Fourthly, when I had my breast biopsy seven years ago, and they placed a marker in my breast, I discovered it will NOT shoot through my body pass through my lungs and heart Ricochete off my ribs and get lodged in my brain! (Yes I do have moments of panic) When Fear comes upon me I will put my trust in you Lord!
And lastly There is perfect peace for those whose mind is focused on the Lord and has wonderful prayer partners! Thank you so much you have all gotten me thru this with great peace.
Because of Jesus, Bobbie

I bet you're dancing now that it's over.. and even better when Thursday's results are exactly what you've been praying for.
I know you had to pay for your MRI.. but here in Canada, if I needed one, it would be free, but it would take me months to get the appointment date. Sometimes I wish we could pay for faster service!!

I had an MRI years ago to diagnose jaw pain. I have never had trouble in closed spaces and when I was offered a sedative, I chose to just go without.
I cannot believe how terrified I was in that machine. I had the illogical thought that the machine was going to collapse on me. The entire time I was in there I was talking to myself, "You know that is an irrational thought. People have MRIs everyday and the machine never collapses. Stay still, get it over with or you will have to come back in here sedated."

Ah, I had my first MRI two months ago - it's loud, isn't it? Wow. You did a much better job handling it. I cried being in that room all alone with that loud machine not able to move - I wasn't expecting it. I will keep you in prayer until we hear the good news.

Isn't it great to find those little hidden things about ourselves that we never knew? Hope you get to dance and sing today.

You did well! Those machines are so loud and unnerving. I've had 2 MRI's....one for my knee and another when they were looking at my brain and neck.
The last one i did i was doing my relaxation stuff from childbirth to not freak out over being claustrophobic.
I am constantly moving and tapping, too, and i LOVE Jazz music. My boys like Jazz, too, they especially like Dixieland Jazz.
Are you still in pain????????
Waiting for Thursday now,
tracy
