Show and Tell with CanadaGirl
Posted in Tags
It is Friday which is becoming my favorite day because.....It is Show and Tell with CanadaGirl and you guys show and tell the best parts of Homeschooling.
This week has been quite a week with Primaries (being a republican in California is not easy) and it can be really stressful. The fact that McCane reminds me of Humphrey doesn't help. I just do not like the man. So because most of my Posts have been Political this week. I decided to concentrate On Happy Hearts Day!
I love Valentine's Day and even the depth of faith of St. Valentine. But I also love Chocolate! REALLY!
And DARK CHOCOLATE is heaven's manna to me.
However it is important to note here I am a past Hippy child of the early 70's and being so , I am aware of many rumors concerning chocolate. here is one that will explain my LOVE and fasination with Green M&M's. http://www.snopes.com/risque/aphrodisiacs/mandms.asp
This is a myth I grew up with and since green is my favorite color when I discovered this with my Beloved Last week!!!!

Green the NEW Color of LOVE! He knew they needed to be thrown in our basket!

The WHOLE bag is filled with GREEN M&M's!

The back of the bag says the following:
What is it all about, "THE GREEN ONES"? Honey,, Let's talk! People are always asking me (says Ms Green M) about their...ummmm....Special Powers. Are they real? There's only one way to find out!

Try one! But read the warning label on the back first!
Important notice: Consumption of the GREEN ONES may result in elevated Romance levels. If you experience this effect, contact your Significant Other immediately. No Official Agency has verified these statements... But what do they know about Romance Anyway?
Happy Valentine's day! May the Lord fill your home with October blessings!

Ha, ha, ha, ha!
I'm avoiding those like the plague. I'll get them next year........an October 09 blessing would be ok.
I'm blessed enough for 08, wink.
Very cute, though. I've not seen those at the store.

That's hysterical! The green M&Ms are my favorite. I can't eat the red ones! And yes, I can taste the difference. :)
Thanks for your prayers.
I hadn't thought of Humphrey with regard to McCain, but I'm not fond of McCain myself. Quite a pickle!

Ok - I'm a M&M snob. I just love those things!!! A whole bag isn't enough!!! Unfortunately, my thighs love them, too. Oh well. It's worth every nibble.
Hey, how is Mirah? Can you help me update my post for Sunday with her informaiton? Thanks.

quick note: your green m&m's S&T is so cute. Who'dve thought up such a....strange and quirky S&T but a former hippie child of the early 70s. LOL
Anyway, I'm SO with you about the "better to be a grandma than a mom." I NEVER thought I would say that, and when other folks did I just smiled and shook my head on the inside, declaring, "Nothing is better than being a mom with a new baby and teaching my children."
HA! I humbly confess that all those other grandmas were RIGHT! Being a Grandma is better than being a MOM! All the fun of having children around with none (well some) of the day-to-day responsibilities that go along with raising children. Advice-level counsel only. Storytime and a day to go to Great-grandparents if I feel like doing it. School? What's that? Ah...they can miss a day, can't they? :-)
Let's hear it for grandparents!
And I'm with you about McCain, too. There's just something "not right" about that image. I shudder to think how it's all going to end this November. Remember the old Chinese proverb, "May you live in interesting times." I think the 21st century qualifies.....

Hey green is my favorite color too and that is just too cute, although I have never heard that theory before. Hmmm....wonder if it's true?
I read an apron I ran across in the store today that said, "If Heaven doesn't have chocolate, then I'm not going." Now although I love chocolate, (which I am eating right now,) I know our dear Lord has something much better waiting for us! So I guess if the Lord will have me, I'll be going chocolate or not.
Blessings,
Hallie

My husband talks about the green guys. All this time I thought he was just joking. :)
I see you already have an opinion on this. What is this about voting for the primary's. when is that suppose to happen? I do hope people are smarter than to vote for H.C.!!
Hop on over to my blog,
click on the link to Dobson's site
and pledge that you will be
a Value Voter come fall.
Then spread the word far and wide,
1,000,000 pledges he is seeking,
to inform the "world" that,
we believe in the sanctity of life,
we stand for one-man, one-woman marriage,
and In God We Will and Do Trust!
Don't forget to leave a comment,
you know we all love them so. :)

I read your comment that you left over at Suzy Scribbles and I just had to smile and almost laugh outloud. You sound like your having a lot of fun in this phase of life. Skipping math and going straight to the fun stuff does indeed sound like a great time!
I'm a grandma, too, but I haven't arrived in that stage yet (going straight to the fun stuff). My youngest is six years old, so I think it's going to be a while until I get there. My 50th birthday is coming up soon - I sure hope I can still ride horses when I get to going straight to the fun stuff!
Antoinette
p.s. I love the blue ones best of all.

My husband is traveling this week... I think I will wear black on Valentine's day as a sign that I am in mourning.
Just kidding, I don't really do Valentine's Day. One year I did get Marissa a pair of jeans. She had started getting a paycheck (AKA an allowance) and was required to buy her own clothes. Well, she was new at the whole budgeting thing and spent all her money prior to a growth spurt. Her jeans were way too tight and she didn't have enough money to buy new. So, I rescued her. We were at Wal-Mart today and she wanted me to buy her a dress for Valentine's Day. I told her a card and chocolate was less than $5. She said, "But what about that one year you bought me jeans?" ARGH!!!

Too funny! I tried to give my DH a green M&M the other day. He had no clue what I was "hinting" at and gave it to DD. Oh well. I guess I'll have to go find the bag! Have a blessed week!
