Standing on God's Promises
Posted in Bible Study
In our Bible Study Last week our last question was about finding a Promise in God's Word and trusting God through it. So Often we say we believe in God or Have Faith in God, yet our actions are different. For some of us over the Years things in our past may make that a bit of a Challenge. To Trust, So here is our Bible Study Question.
Because God's Word Says in __________________________
That He Will ________________________________________
Then I can trust Him to ___________________________________
There are so many scriptures to encourage your walk with Jesus. Perhaps one from your Bible study or devotional reading fits this place, Perhaps something like this....
Because God's Word says in Psalm 121:3
That He will not let your footslip- he who watches over you will not slumber
Then I can trust Him to Keep me safe.
Or perhaps
Because God's Word says in Jeremiah 29:11- 13
That he will Know the plans He has for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. plans to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.
Then I can trust Him to Handle whatever is before me, knowing full well that it is for my good. It will prosper me and give me hope as I call upon Him. he will listen to my prayers.
Whatever your need, whatever your heart seeks, there is a promise in God's Word for you.
For me it is This...
Because God's word says in Philippians 1 :6
That He will continue His work until it is finished on that Day when Christ Jesus comes Back again.
Then I can trust Him to do that very thing in those that I love who are not walking with Him as they should. God will complete the work He began in them. It will happen and I can Trust God to do that.
Although the walk of a Prodigal is hard to see, my heart finds peace knowing God's Word is true.
Would you like to share a Promise that You are clinging too?

Because Deuteronomy 7:9 says
From this you can know that Adonai your God is indeed God, the faithful God, who keeps his covenant and extends grace to those who love him and observe his mitzvot, to a thousand generations.
I know that his love and grace cover me as I walk out his commands, as my part in the covenant of marriage with Him, my Messiah.. and that when it's all said and done, I'm am safe from the curses listed in Deuteronomy 28.. and I can stand and say AMEN to Deuteronomy 27:26 A curse on anyone who does not confirm the words of this Torah by putting them into practice. All the people are to say AMEN!"
The theme of Shabbat's commentary was, If God is God, then HE makes the RULES.

I am studying Psalm 16. Verse 11 is the promise I am holding onto this week.
"You make known to me the path of life; in your presence this is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." ESV

Because God's Word Says in Deuteronomy 31:6 and it is affirmed in Hebrews 13:5-6
That He will never desert me, nor will He ever forsake me
Then I can trust that no matter what happens in my life, I will never have to face any problem alone. This may seem trite at first, but it means that the power that created the universe, the power that raised Jesus from the dead, the power that is directing history... resides within me and walks with me through all of life.
What would it look like if I always had this truth in sight?
