One of my favorite things to do when I am on a retreat is to get up at 0'dark thirty and cozy up in an overstuffed chair with the Lord. Steaming tea and a cookie left over from the over abundant snacks the night before makes a sweet beginning to the moment. Oh Taste and see that the Lord is good. That is how I see our Lounge; That special nook where we can visit over a cup of hot tea sharing our lives, our loves and our Lord.

Now to find the time. Isn't that always how it is? On a retreat we find the time to sit at the Lord's feet. We glean and savor every morsel. Then we come home and it is harder to spend time with the Lord because the life's demands demand away our time. These are not bad or evil, they are snuggles and breakfast, giggles and lapbooks, laundry and supper dishes, more snuggles and lovers. Blessings all, the need is still waiting to be met. So we try to find a place to talk to grownups and meet with the Lord. A lounge. A cup of steamy tea and a taste of the Lord.
