This is a serious issue. We need a lot of prayer, this attack is real and you can beat there are those is your state waiting to see what our state does so that can follow suit. SoCalVal has great updates on her blog and a wonderful resource on what is happening. Just recently she wrote me and said " I didn't know you were an author?" Well, obviously my little button is so little she never saw it.

But inside it, it will tell you I know what it means to Homeschool Underground. I know what is is like to keep the curtains drawn from 8 am to 3:30 pm , to NOT run errands and be afraid to take a field trip. I rememberwhat it was like to dance around the question "Where do your children go to school?" We had pat answers. My children did not sing out "Oh we are homeschooled!" No they did not and were trained to respond with polite answers with out information. They would share the Name of our School. Yes, it had a name and that name did not include our last name as many do now adays. If they were pressed for more info they said, Oh it is a private school here locally, and That was ALL! Most people had not heard about Homeschooling so they did not press the issue.

Over the years I also learned what it was like to have neighbors decide Homeschooling was "Bad" and called the authorities to say my children did NOT go to school. That day I learned two things, Praying with your children for God's favor and protection, training them to repeat , " I would like my Parents and my Lawter Now!" and than saying nothing else. was the first. The second was reminding myself , everytime the man on the end of the phone asked me a question and he asked about 30 before he realized he was getting nothing from me except, "You will have to talk to by Laywer , Michael Smith at HSLDA, Thank you!" When he finally got the message and talked with Michael Smith, my noisy neighbor and my right to home school was solvedwith a phone call!

So that is my plan for this issue in California. This problem happened because the courts hid it in the juvenile courts so no one knew it was happening until the ruling was handed down. Sneak it in and no one can stop you. I am sure this family thought, "It is legal to homeschool in California, I don't need HSLDA." I know because many of you have thought the same thing. The truth is you may never need HSLDA and that is the reason you join, so you can help pay the fees for the one that will need them. And as you can see, someone needed them and did not have them.

My Serious plan is to Pray. But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love! Psalm 33:18 This is where are eyes and hearts need to focus,Not with fear and not on threats. Our eyes and our hearts are to focus on the Lord.

And secondly I am going to encourage you to join HSLDA. You can do this online. do not put it off.

What you are doing is right, and legal. Do not let fear over take you.
