Show and Tell with CanadaGirl YARN!!!!!
My granddaughter, Tirzah, is off to Rwanda this fall to work withPaul Rusesabagina ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Rusesabagina), stay at Hotel Rwanda, and work in the orphange. (remember she needs knit hats for african orphanage! see Tirzah's blog by pushing her button that Canadagirl's Prince Philip made for her)
To help raise money for her mission trip Sarah of Perfect Day Yarns has taken up Tirzah's heart cry (http://www.perfectdayyarns.com/) She is dying up sock yarn “Path of Hope” colourway, dyed to match the Rwanda flag (blue, green and yellow ). $7 of each skein will go towards Tirzah's trip with PEACE.
Since I know your hearts and know you are interested in a skein we are doing pre-orders now, so we can get an idea of how many to dye up. We don't want Sarah to have to block out too much time, dye too many or too few. So whether you want one or a dozen, leave a note on the blog or email me. You could even use it to knit a baby cap.

Mrs. Jeannette Kagame, First Lady of the Republic of Rwanda said, “As a nation, we’ve decided not to surrender. As a nation, we’ve seen the worst, and the people have learned a lot. We’ve taken stock of the past, and we’re building on it to change it. We are now on the path of hope, instead of despair. The path of hope includes partnership with the institution of the church and with individual churches in Rwanda."
I hope you will consider helping bring Hope to Rwanda one skein of yarn at a time.
Sow and Tell is Sponsered by our Beloved CanadaGirl who knits beautiful sock! Please come by her blog and join us for Show and Tell.

Information Knitters will understand and I don't!
My Daughter says, The yarn is Merino yarn that is being hand dyed. And it is 21.95 a skein plus Shipping and handling and out of that pricing, Tirzah get's $7.00 which is pretty much the profit after buying the yarn and dyeing it. Man I hope that makes since to you guys that actually know what i am talking about.

Bobbie, can you write me offline at belinda.bullard@blessedheritage.com to let me know if I can just send a donation to you? I'm pretty sure I still have your address. Just let me know, and thanks.

I am going to consider doing this. I've been thinking about getting one of those knifty knitters and trying it out.
Yay for a new knee! Isn't it so great that docs can do these things now? You gotta lot of miles left in you.
Have a wonderful weekend,

I'd like to know if that is Tirzah spinning or the yarn lady spinning? It doesn't really look like Tirzah, but you know how these pics sometimes turn out. :-)
Does the yarn lady spin and dye her own yarn to sell?
I spin, too! I spin an angora (bunny)/silk combo.
Wow, and I can't believe how quickly Tirzah's trip is coming up! A scrambling summer to get ready, eh?
