Show and Tell Having fun with Grandkids

I was wondering what I would share with you today so I decided to share with you one of my favorite things to do.
My youngest granddaughter Talia is 2 1/2 years old and her favorite thing to say is "Bubbe , Can I help you?" (said without the l sound :) All I have to do is step into the kitchen and she high tails it to the laundry room to grab her stool. Before I can even say yes she is there beside me.
Sometimes she even let's Zemeira help us. Notice who gets the whisk and how get to butter the pan!
This day we were baking brownies. Friends were coming to lunch and they needed to be extra special.
And tehy were. We had hoped they would help our friend Michelle go into Labor ( it is our favorite wives tale) but it didn't.. But she did have baby Jacob a few days later.
I don't know what makes you smile, but this little sneak tasting the brownie mix which has eggs in it ( so her mama says she can't taste it) REALLY makes me smile!

Sounds like you all had a great time!
I was trying to view your pictures from your post about your altar. It sounded so lovely, but I could never get the pictures to load! We are having so much trouble with this computer right now. I've even had trouble emailing today, let alone getting to the point where I can actually post a comment on a blog!

Wonderful photos.
I am so glad my mom didn't know about not tasting batter that had eggs in it. I loved to lick the beaters, bowl, spatula. Actually, I think I like brownie mix better than brownies. :o)

And oh, those shots are precious--the same thing I like to do with my grandkids. And what IS it with our daughters, who grew up (at least mine did) ALWAYS licking the bowls and eating cookie dough, and who cared a whit about the dumb EGGS? But my DD is just like yours--she won't let the kids eat dough with eggs in them.
I don't know about you, but I just let them sample the choc. chip cooky dough when we're making it, and I just don't tell them it has eggs in it, and I certainly don't tell my DD I let them taste it. (Grandma's secret. And gee, they're still alive, just like we knew they would be). LOL
Did you see the video of my granddaughter singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star?
Countdown to surgery...4 days to the NEW YOU! Rejoice and be glad, and be VERY glad you get to be put out for the procedure (you DO, right?)

Yeah....it's too bad about having to watch for the egg thing. We used to make our own eggnog with i was a kid. Raw as could be. Oh well. Bob stopped me on that one!
Cute little kids. I'm trying to picture myself with grandkids. Can't quite do it yet!
