Show and Tell with Canada Girl and our fire update
I updated our fire last night so that post is below this one. OutBack did come and bbq for our Firefighters, they did hold back the fire one more night and we still have to wear surgical masks out of doors. But I wanted you to see the one day in the last three weeks we didn't have to wear masks. God gave us a magnificant 4th of July and we enjoyed every inch of the blue sky in small Dogtowne Fair Fashion.
We only had two of our grandchildren with us as the other four Were off at Summer camp.

We had Horsie rides!

and Donkey rides! (The famous Donkey from our Passion Play)

Played games (make sure you notice the CANE and no longer a walker!)

We went fishing and caught a lot of fish, even an octopus!

Since there were only two grandkids with us....

we did something we have never done before...

We got our faces painted!

SHe sat so still!

The perfect day!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.
What a great day!! The face painting seems like such a waste of time, but my kids still talk of the times when they got theirs painted!! What awesome memories!!
Right on w/the cane! Hopefully it only gets better from here!!
Thanks for sharing with us!

OH it is so good to see you up and walking around!!!!
Yay! You look almost back to normal there, except better than the normal you knew before the surgery.
The face-painting turned out so well and so precious. I'm sure the girls treasured that.
You all are still in our prayers with the fires up there.
How blessed you are to serve those fighting for you in such a direct way.
Have a safe weekend! I hope you see blue skies again soon....after a nice, long, calm rain.

Thank you for your kind words on my skirt posting - it was so nice of you!
Have a lovely weekend, and take care of yourselves around the fires!!

Thanks for the update... keep me posted as I pray. Great photos you shared. I always wished that my boys would enjoy their faces being painted, but they wont have anything to do with it. Funny, they are.

These photos are wonderful. I am so glad you had a break from the fires, even if it was just for a little while. I am still in awe that the community is supporting the fire fighters the way they are... awesome!
