Canada Girl's Show and tell Camping
Today is Friday which means it is time for Show and Tell with Canada Girl. If you head over to her blog you will find an invitation to visit some of the most amazing blogs in blogland.
For me, I promised last time to share our Camping trip with you. And I took loads of Pictures. When we go camping, we go to Philbrook lake. It takes 1 1/2 hours to get there from our house. It is 16 miles from my house. Yes you read that right. It is all dirt windy mountain pothole filled road so we drive an average of 15 mph the whole way.

The first thing Zemeira wanted to do was climb her rock! Now this may look like a small rock, but it is fairly smooth and she has to find her hand and footholds the tinest cracks become fingertype holds for her to use. Some day I will get her on a real climbing wall. Oh notice the sun shining through my top...big deal here, no tummy!

Most People have a family tree, we have a family Rock.

Every year we take our pictures on this rock. This isTalia's first time on it without mommie and daddy.

Mountain lakes are very cold and life vests do not make happy little independant girls. All that however does not keep us out of the water.

And my husband wonders why his shoulder hurts???? How far can you through a six year old?

Swimming is how you bath after quading. Warm is how you dress when you get out and light a small, in a fire ring, well contained to keep our forest safe fire and roast marshmellows.

This is the result of roasting marshmellows!!! Yum????

Even the sugar rush of the marshmellows could not keep them awake a moment longer!

In the morning it all starts again...this time with crawdads, crayfish or too much work for one bite creatures.

Talia found a way to love the lake! Pa made her giggle so hard in thislittle boat.

Yes they are fishing in thier jammies! It is 8;00pm and that is our only chance of catching a fish in the lake they haven't stocked in two years.

My sister Carolyn loves to fish and I think teaching Zemeria and Talia to fish was one of her favorite things to do. These to precious babies sa for 40 minutes "STILL" fishing! And didn't catch a thing except Talia did catch Aunt Carolyn once!

We brought Barbie and Rescue Heroes. We found soft pillowy moss to make beds for the fairies. We had color books and nature books. With all of that...Talia's favorite toy was the rock family!

There is a mommie rock and a daddy rock. There are Bubbeand Pa rocks. And if you think this amazing imagination stops with rocks? No, her food has become equally animated and getting through a meal without eating her new friend....is quite impossible.

Hey Zemeria??? Where you going? To get more rocks! Man we went to the lake, we could have easily gone to the quarry.
Now I do not know how I missed pictures of them riding their bikes, but I did. Zemeira has begun riding without training wheels. Watching the other kids around camp race their bikes, she has now learned to ride standing up for speed. I am sure her mama will thank me for this! Talia is getting the pedal part down, but not the steering part. It will come in time I am sure.
Well, Thank you for coming camping with us, we had a wonderful time!
Head over to Canadagirls blog and see what everyone else is doing!

That looks like a fun trip. I love seeing your grandkids having fun out in nature! I especially love the rock family. : )
I enjoyed reading your tag too. I was amazed at the short time you dated. I kept trying to shorten our engagement, but it took my hubby a long time to decide he was ready to get married. lol
Thanks for asking about my dad, we are still trying to get him over his lung infection and several other infections that he somehow contracted.

What a beautiful area you live in! And how special to always go to the same place with your family. Fun pictures.
Thanks for your comments. I've actually had 2 kids realize "it's not the right one" this year. My daughter came through it with a hard bump, but actually quite well and is wiser and stronger for it. My son is still suffering for now.

I can't believe I am two weeks behind on your blog. The photos of your trip are awesome. I hope when I get to that place in my life that I have grandchildren that we have some multi-generational fun. My extended family is a little, uh, dysfunctional... and I am trying to change that ~

We are the "Change Agents" in our family too.
For my sisters birthday I gave her a cup that says Lets put the Fun back in Dys"fun"ctual.
