I received an anonymous post the other day talking about standing up for your convictions. The fact that it was anonymous tells me they do not stand up for theirs. It had to do with my feelings on China and the Olympics, so I thought I would post it and my responses HERE for all to read as I am not ashamed of beliefs nor my convictions.
I WONDER if the 'bracelets praying for China" were made, in China? Every other disposable things is?
BB: No need to wonder, they were not. Also the gear sold at Team Darfur was also made in America for exactly that reason. So that people could not put down the good they are doing, while sitting at a computer voicing their thoughts Anonymously.
I WONDER if we really stuck to our guns (convictions and beliefs) if that would cure our insatiable vasicilation between what God says, and 'entertainment'.
BB: The Olympics really is more than entertainment. It is an opportunity to evangelize parts of the world that the gospel cannot get into, a place to give voices to those that in their own country would have no voice. Which convictions and beliefs are we not standing up for?
I WONDER what it would be like if an American, you know, one that was born and raised in this country, who's mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, great grandparents, were born in this country REPRESENTED this country, instead of making EVERYTHING into a political statement.......
BB: Man, apart from being a very racist statement, which in fact for you just became a political statement....How many generations of being an American must you be one before you can represent your country? Because like it our not, at one time we all came from a country other than this unless you are still 100% native American. Having Lopez carry our flag serged pride in my heart and oozed the American Olympic Spirit. You can come to America being rescued from "GENOCIDE" and change your life and fulfill your dreams.
I WONDER if we all just shut off our tvs and spent that time with our kids, our spouses, our Lord, in our community.........I wonder if we'd weigh less, be less brainwashed, and be more like Christ?
BB: Spending the time with the Lord might change the bitterness and racism is your heart. I highly recommend it. Being a First generation American is something to shout to the world about! No need to wonder any more.
Just like being a first generation Christian, it is the personal relationship with Christ, not The Christian background of the last three generations of your Family that makes you a Christian. So if your Citizenship is based solely on the sacrifices your forefathers made without any sacrifice by you, you didn't get what they did at all.
As for children, if you have never watched the Olympics with your kids you wouldn't know it is a participation activity. Kids watch, kids cheer and during the commercials kids attempt. Parents Cheer and parents appauld the somersaults across the livingroom floor. They think exercise is a good thing OH Gosh...That is what they are watching EXERCISE...Man you really don't get it!
As for Brainwashed???? Praying for another country that perscutes fellow Christians? Saying supporting GENOCIDE is wrong? Watching the literal affects of what happens in a forced one child family walk into the arena with such a small porportion of females to males? No I am afraid brainwashed kids are the ones being taught that you have to be able to trace your family roots on both sides of your family tree to the Mayflower, instead of how awesome it is to live in a country with a heart so big it welcomes everyone that comes in legally to this country a new dream!
And NONE of what you wrote was in the least Christ like.
Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm
BB:Yep that would be your whole ANONYMOUS post, but it also brought me to my knees. May Jesus Open your eyes and your heart to the full depths of His Love today. And may that include love for your fellow citizens.
My words are the words in blue. You may agree or disagree, but have the guts to sign your post if you do.
