Encouragement Along the Way

Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.

Psalm 34:3

MamaSmurf's Family needs your prayers IMMEDIATELY

I was just at the Homeschool Lounge which has a heartbreaking announcement on it. It seems our beloved MamaSmurf has gone home to the Lord. Her blog still has a post that says they hope she will be up and around soon. But on this side of heaven that will not be happening.

Please pray for her husband and her 13 year old son. Although this was a possiblity hope was always before them. They had hoped she would be coming home to them, not home to the Lord.

Lord God, Thank you for cyberspace and the opportunity to have gotten to know MamaSmurf and to love here. She was always a bright spot in my comment box. Thank you for welcoming her into Your presence, for we know to be absent from the Body is to be present with the Lord. As surprising as this is to us Lord, this was not a surprise to You. You have numbered our day before even one of them came to be and we honor You in the midst of our sorrow. Send the Holy Spirirt to comfort this blessed family. Surround them with Your love. Use this for Your glory Lord. May her life and her faith touch the hearts of those that have not yet met You and draw them to Your side.

Because of Jesus, Bobbie

This is such sad news. She was such a sweet lady and a wonderful blessing. I will be praying for her family during this difficult time.

About Me

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. This blog is a homeschooling devotional from a bubbe's point of view or watching the next generation excel where I only succeeded.
