The Great Reveal
Posted in Tags
I know you had to wait a little longer than I had hope to see these photos. I needed Mike to download them for me. Choosing the right ones proved harder than I thought. So here goes, nothing.

The MOPS group at our church put on the Breast Cancer awareness hair-cut-athon. Here is Tirzah and Kezziah waiing their turn.

Since it is Tirzah's 13th Birthday we decide SHE goes first!

Her hair is so thick and beautiful. It is hard to believe she did this same thing for Locks of Love 4 years ago!

There was too much hair to just cut, so they braided her hair first.

This is a little over eigthteen inches (unbraided) Now the fun begins!

What kind of style does she want? Layers? Interesting!

Such a lovely young woman! The Big Smile says she loves it. Two ladies told her she looked like Dakota Fanning and prettier than Hannah Montana just as I took this photo.

Kezziah and Her friend Cali are next. They only have to decidewho goes First. Kezzi sends Cali! Hee hee!

Cali's Birthday was Saturday and she had planned to get her haircut but decided to join the girls, very hesitantly.

A foot later.....and a smile.

While Cali finishes up, Kezziah begins. Kezziah sits on her hair and thought maybe 12 inches later to her sholder blades would be good. We were so proud that she wanted to do thisat all because she has always loved her long hair.I do not now if you can tell, but the end of her hair is at the end of the apron.

So when she changed her mind and said cut it here...... I was breathless and made sure at least four times that she was sure. The Smile says in all. She donated over 20 inches!

Now for the style. Are you sure Bubbe??? Yes!

I love the way the trees make a heart behind her. There is so much love in this act of compassion.

Aren't they the sweetest PK's you have ever seen! Each one is uniquely like their hair style.
The Adults were so very proud of them and I was bursting with pride.
I hope you enjoyed Tirzah's Birthday! Oh...You are right, I did forget to show you mine. Do you really want a longer post here?

Tirzah becomes the photographer and I become ....well you will see.

Are you sure you want it this short? No!!!! wait!!!! stop????? Okay go for it!

As you see my hair gone...do you see the look of Horror on Lorraina's face???

This is really important here...do you SEE how dark that pony tail is??? Guess what was left?

Yep...All the Grey! Now people keep coming up to me and saying I look so much younger with my hair cut. So I am wondering...HOW STINKIN" OLD DID I LOOK BEFORE??????

And this is me today. It doesn't get any more fresh than this!
Becca, I want you to know, You are our inspiration. You are the woman we are honoring. Our love for you cannot be measured in inches...It is in our hearts and prayers. Continue to heal Becca. Stand firm. We Love you, Bobbie, Tirzah, Kezziah and Cali!

I love your pictures, and what a great thing to do. I had several inches cut off a few years back and it was such a spur of the moment thing (tired of migraines and sore neck) that it never occured to me to share my hair. You are so brave to share your hair and your pictures, and you look positively glowing in the after picture, you inspire me!!!

Oh, Bobbie, you all look so lovely!!! What a wonderful and special day you all spent together; the girls will always remember this day.
I laughed out loud when you asked "How old did I look before??" I always wonder that when people get so enthusiastic when I put a special effort forth about my appearance. What do I look like in my every day efforts?!? ROFL!!
Have a lovely weekend!
Blessings,

I just sat, mesmerized, scrolling down the page and watching all that beautiful hair be cut (yours, too!). I can't believe that T just did it 4 years ago! What a blessing to have her hair grow so fast....
I LIKE your new look, Bobbie! Oh, this was a wonderful S&T. And T DOES look like Dakota Fanning, and her smile is simply beautiful....(Oh, ditto for the other sweeties, too).

It looks fabulous Bobbie and I am not a fan of short hair so that is saying something.
I bet you all feel a lot lighter. Isn't it strange when you wash your hair and then try to comb through it, but there is so much missing? It always takes me awhile to get used to that after I donate mine.
Tell the girls they did great. I'm proud of each of them.
