Encouragement Along the Way

Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.

Psalm 34:3

Mar. 27, 2009
Hello Ladies on this fabulous Friday!

It seems like it has been forever since I just blogged and told you all how I am doing.I am doing really well and it does seem like it has been forever this time. Yesterday I finally did two miles on my treadmill in under an hour! I was so excited. I have been working really hard this tim. It wasn't as easy as last time, but I know that is because I needed a reality check. Not everyone gets a miracle surgery and doing the work makes a lot of difference but all and all it is God and to Him be the glory.

I would ask that all of you would pray for my knee surgeon and his family. Both he and his father are orthopedic surgeons, but it is his brother and his brothers family and friends you would have heard about on the news. While flying in a small jet plane Dr Brian's brother Brent, Brent's wife who was preg. with their third child, their two children and their friends ( a total of 17 people) were killed when their plane crashed going to Montana on a ski trip. They are having a private memorial tomorrow and everyone is town is in shock. You are connected to one of the Chings in one way our another in this town. Brent was a dentist! They were all believers. Brent a Youth leader, his friend did Missions to Haiti.

I have been so blessed By this family of surgeons. Dr Ching did such amazing work on my knees that my PT is going to use him to do his surgery. My scars are so small and my knee bends as close to normal as one can hope! Pray the Holy Spirit comforts them. I can't imagine how Sr.Dr. Chings wife is doing with such a tragic loss. I know how much I love my children and grandchildren and to havbe this happen all at once to so many close family and friends.

So here I am back in blog land telling you how great I am and I throw tears into it...sorry. It really is a beautiful day. I am sitting in the back yard, it is sunny about 75 degrees and I am barbqueing a tri-tip for supper. Mike is workiing and the grandkids just left to go to a wedding vow renewal ceremony after making 72 deviled eggs!

Doing God's Word isn't always easy. Rejoicing with those who are rejoicing and mourning with those who are morning is difficult to do simutaneously , but God commands us to so we try, we pray and we Thank Him for being all wise all knowing and having a plan for our lives, even when we do not understand the plan in the least! So we sing Glory to God the Most Holy One who directs our steps and leads us on the way everlasting.

So sorry to hear about the loss, and your town's connection, will be praying for the family as they grieve. So glad to know they were believers.

Praying for your recovery and improvement, as well.

Blessings,
Anne-Marie

Apr. 6, 2009 - believers?

Posted by Anonymous

I know much in the news is now censored and/or biased, however I have a hard time believing that this group of 'believers" weren't aware from where the money came. It came from many abortion clinics. I'm so very sorry for the loss to any family, especially of children, I really truly am and I've prayed for this family. But I have a hard time feeling sorry for anyone that makes the money off abortion. I will most certainly keep this family in my prayers and pray for their conversion away from abortion.

Responding to your attack!

Cowardice comes in the form of an anonymous attack!
So if you do return to my blog atleast make certain you know of what you speak.
Yes the owner of the plane and father of two of the families is a well known abortion clinic owner. And I am certain he is facing his demons. But when do we get judged by the sins of our fathers? How many of us have family members that have done unspeakable things...how many of us have as well?

BUT and this is a very big but!!! the family of my surgeon was not this family. The Ching family died on that air craft and they were not family members of the planes owners. So I will ask you, do you know what your Adult friends parents do? Do they know what sins you have committed. Shame on your judgemental heart that speaks with out compassion or wisdom. I asked for prayer for grandparents that will never know their grandchildren, a brother who has lost his best friend. How callous can you be!

I know how cowardly!

About Me

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. This blog is a homeschooling devotional from a bubbe's point of view or watching the next generation excel where I only succeeded.
