It seems like it has been forever since I just blogged and told you all how I am doing.I am doing really well and it does seem like it has been forever this time. Yesterday I finally did two miles on my treadmill in under an hour! I was so excited. I have been working really hard this tim. It wasn't as easy as last time, but I know that is because I needed a reality check. Not everyone gets a miracle surgery and doing the work makes a lot of difference but all and all it is God and to Him be the glory.
I would ask that all of you would pray for my knee surgeon and his family. Both he and his father are orthopedic surgeons, but it is his brother and his brothers family and friends you would have heard about on the news. While flying in a small jet plane Dr Brian's brother Brent, Brent's wife who was preg. with their third child, their two children and their friends ( a total of 17 people) were killed when their plane crashed going to Montana on a ski trip. They are having a private memorial tomorrow and everyone is town is in shock. You are connected to one of the Chings in one way our another in this town. Brent was a dentist! They were all believers. Brent a Youth leader, his friend did Missions to Haiti.
I have been so blessed By this family of surgeons. Dr Ching did such amazing work on my knees that my PT is going to use him to do his surgery. My scars are so small and my knee bends as close to normal as one can hope! Pray the Holy Spirit comforts them. I can't imagine how Sr.Dr. Chings wife is doing with such a tragic loss. I know how much I love my children and grandchildren and to havbe this happen all at once to so many close family and friends.
So here I am back in blog land telling you how great I am and I throw tears into it...sorry. It really is a beautiful day. I am sitting in the back yard, it is sunny about 75 degrees and I am barbqueing a tri-tip for supper. Mike is workiing and the grandkids just left to go to a wedding vow renewal ceremony after making 72 deviled eggs!
Doing God's Word isn't always easy. Rejoicing with those who are rejoicing and mourning with those who are morning is difficult to do simutaneously , but God commands us to so we try, we pray and we Thank Him for being all wise all knowing and having a plan for our lives, even when we do not understand the plan in the least! So we sing Glory to God the Most Holy One who directs our steps and leads us on the way everlasting.
