Colorado became a state in 1876, on August 1st. It is our 38th state. There are 4,665,177 people in Colorado. It is the 8th largest state at 104,091 square miles. The state tree is the blue spruce. Colorado has some of the tallest mountains in the U.S., like Pikes Peak. Colorado is also the home of the Denver mint. Colorado is cool!

Here's some of the goodies we recieved, found, did, used....We now have an album to put our postcards in because the cat decided that pulling the postcards off the wall was just too much fun.  I kept trying to figure out WHO was pulling all the postcards down and leaving them on a heap in front of the map!  The map is still up, but we printed off another one to put on the binder and that will help us out.

keep your eyes peeled for Arizona
