It is almost time for the afghan contest to end! Please see the above entry for details and make sure to enter right away!
For those of you who are subscribers to TOS magazine... you should be getting it in your mailboxes soon! Let me know if you find my ad! Jacque already spotted it and her sweet, little baby that she allowed to be used as the ad model!
Eric Novak designed the ad for me... in return he allowed me to pay him with an afghan that he plans to give to a friend with a newly adopted daughter....
I made a crib-sized peaches and cream and aqua afghan with a ruffled border. I was not sure about the color combination, but it turned out to be very sweet!
In other news:
Jessica's afghan was lost in the mail for TWO months. I was tracking it and decided to finally make a new one. The VERY day she received and blogged about receiving afghan #2 in the mail, afghan #1 returned to me! LOL! (Then, I mailed it back to her... she and her soon-to-be husband will be able to enjoy his and hers afghans after their wedding THIS weekend!)
Here is a photo of Ian's camoflauge colored afghan! He loves it!
As promised... here is another example of the shawls I make... This one had a button in the corner so it can be used as a wrap, as well.
The button idea was Kaitlyn's. She didn't like having to hold onto the shawl all the time so the button allowed her to fasten it behind her back. It's really cute that way!
Introducing my all-new "invention"... ponchos:
Both of these ponchos are in the same colors, but the one on the right is a little longer (it was made for an older/taller girl, Hannah is just modeling it here) and it has a ruffled collar and a wider neck opening!
The back view on the left and look how cuddly she looks on the right!
She says it's "Twirly and Dancy" too!
Hey! It even fits me! I don't think this is my color, but I just might make one for myself, although I would like mine a lot longer and probably minus the ruffle!
And as always, a portion of the profits from each sale go to Blessed Arrows Reversal Ministry.
And by the way, the scraps of yarn get made into 7x9 inch squares that get donated to Warm Up America... an organization that gives patchwork afghans to those in need.
I do have the beginnings of a dot com now... http://www.bundledinprayer.com... right now it just links here, but eventually I hope to learn how to build an actual website with a little (or a lot) of help from my friends! Right, Jocelyn?
