Here are the happy couple! Aren't they sweet?

My son's wedding was beautiful! I plan to share more with you later, as I get my hands on pictures! The benefit of knowing how to sew contributed greatly to keeping the cost of the wedding down.
My daughter (Corrie Berneking) voluntarily made the bride's dress, the flower girl dress, and the groom's vest. She made Grace's dress and underdress a bit larger so it could be worn for some time.

Beautiful details!

The dress took 3 yards Cotton/poly print and 16 yards of ribbon. Corrie machine embroidered inside the ribbon grid work and used fancy machine stitching on the ribbon sleeves, cuff, and front bodice. She then added lace on the cuff and hem. Grace loves the full skirt-It's a "Twirl" dress!
The pinafore is of a burgandy Shantung fabric-made from an old Daisy Kingdom pattern. Corrie used gold ribbon and fancy machine stitches to make top and bottom border on skirt. She used a wide double needle with machine stitches on a diagonal for border background, and then machine embroidered bows to highlight the border. The bodice front has buttons and a turned back lapels. She looked lovely!

(Or "Twirly-dress"!)

I'll share more later on other aspects of the wedding as well as Melanie's dress!
