We have a wedding coming up! My daughter met, worked through a "storybook courtship", and married when she was 20. My son is now 25 and has chosen well...we are delighted with our future daughter-in-law and are looking forward to his wedding in February. Most importantly, both children are/have married believers, and it is such a delight for me to see my children walking with the Lord.
We are putting this wedding together on a shoestring budget. My daughter, Corrie, will be making the wedding dress and the flower girl dress as a wedding gift for Justin and Melanie. Melanie had no desire for a dress with laces or satin. We were blessed by being given the fabric for her dress-a very fine linen, which combined with a simple princess style, and embellished with tone-on-tone machine embroidery will make a very classy dress. We go shopping next weekend for flower girl fabric, along with all the linings and notions...should be a fun day! I'll keep you posted on how this, as well as the flower girl dress and it's design, is coming along.
No picture yet, but soon, hopefully!

Jan. 10, 2006 - Congratulations!
As I like to say, you only need 3 things to get married: Bride, Groom, God. Everything else is extra.
