I am posting this poem again because my mom told me about a cool contest here. if i win the bracelet, i will give it to my mom. i wrote the poem but my mom typed it
----- I am from trees, DOLE, and my brothers.
I am from a home that smells of fabric softner, making me think of my mom's washing.
I am from the venus fly-trap, and poison oak.
I am from fireworks in a new city each year, and goodness from my dad and mom and the Burts.
I am from parents that blog and play with us.
From "You are so cute" and "2 + 2 = 4."
I am from a God who is real. He is good. From the Holy Bible that helps me understand Him.
I'm from Sacramento and France and England (and China?), from Mac 'n Cheese and homemade pizza.
From the mother who won a stuffed animal from Circus Circus, a father who got in trouble for skateboarding in Mexico City, and from soldiers.
--------- this is the poem i made up, my mom typed it. click here if you want to do it too. click here to see my brother's and here to see my mom's. |
