Aug. 30, 2008 - One week down!
Well...I successfully ( at least I think!) finished my first week at homeschooling. Although some still think I am crazy and that I should just send Mattithia to school we have had so much fun and he has too! He is such a BIG help around the house too. I don't want to put too much responsibility on him being he is the firstborn but he likes helping and enjoys his sisters and brother. He really likes helping Ariana and she likes it too! I am not sure what she would do without him here! LOL It isn't bad either. I just am still figuring out how to use my books and all but its a fun adventure!

Jul. 19, 2008 - I am down to a few weeks! YIKES!!!!
Well...I am about to embark on my homeschooling journey in just a few short weeks! YIKES! I can't believe how close its getting! I think I am pretty prepared.....except for the spelling. I am just going to use phonics words and such as his spelling words. I hope that that doesn't mess him up too much! I will have to look into spelling for next year. I think Arabella is excited because she sees her "school" set too! It might be fun afterall! I think hectic and crazy at first but I really think I am going to enjoy this!

Jul. 13, 2008 - I know I know!
I guess it has been a LONG time since I posted here! I actually forgot I had a blog here!!! LOL I have all my homeschool curriculum and it can all be so overwhelming! When to start...when to do what subjects and how often and the list of questions goes ON AND ON!!!! Here is what I have for my first grader: Bible- Alpha Omega LIFEPAC Math- Saxon 1 Reading- BJU Phonics-BJU History- ABeka Science- ABeka Health- ABeka Handwriting- A Reason for Handwriting I didn't get a spelling curriculum because I figured I could just let him spell out some phonics words and test him on those. I hope I didn't leave anything out! It was SO overwhelming picking all the curriculum. I hope we have a good year. I am going to start him around the same time that his brother goes to Kindergarten and I am going to do his school while his brother is in school. Sounds pretty easy to me! LOL! I hope it really is that easy! Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Jan. 27, 2008 - My new Journey!
This blog is for my new journey down the homeschooling road. I am SO excited but nervous about all the rules. I would hate to forget something. But I know it what's best for my son as I believe public school is not adequate to teach him. I look forward to meeting new people through this journey. So...here I go!
