Jul. 19, 2008 - I am down to a few weeks! YIKES!!!!
Well...I am about to embark on my homeschooling journey in just a few short weeks! YIKES! I can't believe how close its getting! I think I am pretty prepared.....except for the spelling. I am just going to use phonics words and such as his spelling words. I hope that that doesn't mess him up too much! I will have to look into spelling for next year. I think Arabella is excited because she sees her "school" set too! It might be fun afterall! I think hectic and crazy at first but I really think I am going to enjoy this!

Welcome to the wonderful world of homeschooling. My family and I are entering our 8th yr and it's always full of surprises. I can maybe give you a little bit of help with the spelling. Try Sequential Spelling. That's what a friend of mine has been doing and her kids went from ok spelling to really wonderful. It's what I'm hoping to do for our kids.
Do you have a support group in your area of actual moms you can talk to and visit with and kids for your children to play with? That's very important.
