Tackle it Tuesday!

Okay, today isn't Tuesday-- OF COURSE!  BUT, today I decided to take some time to clean out our silverware and utensil drawers.  YAY!  They look so much nicer.  I feel better too!

Took the kids to the library very briefly and found only 1 Thanksgiving book.   I guess all the good ones had already been checked out.  I would love to make this holiday a little more special for everyone but it always seems like things are very rushed at this time of the year.  I did find a DVD on William Bradford and the first Thanksgiving.

I took H to the eye Dr. to see about her crooked and broken (yet again!) glasses.  They are ordering new frames.
I hope these will hold up a little better.

E is working again cleaning MLW house.  She is so good to work hard and save her money.  I feel like I might save my money too if I could ever get any!   Most of my jobs are freebies!

C is not feeling well.  She went to class at the JC and then to work.  I hope she will rest tomorrow.  We picked up the scholarship application from LCE.  I pray C can do well and earn this scholarship.  It would go a long way toward paying for her classes in the fall.  I need to spend more time praying about this.

We had a short amount of school work at the table today.  JR is learning to cross multiply.  We are making an ocean mural with lots of really spectacular ocean plants and animals.  JR drew a great white shark, stingray, sea turtle, and viper fish!  Heidi drew a sea turtle,  dolphin, octopus, clown fish, coral reef, and kelp.  I attempted to draw a jelly fish and coral reef.

We read the book Somewhere in the Ocean
by Jennifer Ward and T.J. Marsh.

This book has fabulous pictures and a fun song to sing along with each ocean animal.  PLUS- there is a hidden number on each page.

Got a call from CCCS!  We are all paid. SO SO PAID!!! YES!!!!

I must force myself to get up from here and go make supper.
I think I need a nap!

Nov. 18, 2006 - Thanksgiving

Posted by irock00000
It seems like thanksgiving is coming so fast! I really wish we could slow down and just ponder about it some more. I wish we could celebrate it with songs and crafts (yes-even dinky crafts) and reading of poems and feasting. That would be fun.
Love you!
