I have always wanted to read the Bible all the way through but have never done it, well my husband I received a calender at church for a gift where you can read the Bible through in a year, actually when your done you will have read the Old Test once, New Test twice, proverbs and Psalms several times.  Its intense reading to keep caught up and do be honest I figured we would never pull it off after the first week but an amazing thing has happened, we are DOING it! 

We are not strict with any specific version as long as its the WORD,  we use many different ones for Sunday School, school, family devotions, etc.  but in this case my husband decided he wanted to try the MESSAGE Bible, oh how we have enjoyed it-we are especially enjoying the Old Test, which was a suprise to me, we don't want to stop at night we get so involved in the stories.  We have really enjoyed it and I can't imagine stopping.

Whats really amazing is the Peace that has come over me lately, I really can't explain it except that I have a calm inside which isn't typical for me, even during certain times of the month where that never happens- I just LOVE the fact that we are doing this together and we are getting to know Jesus so much better, it feels really great!
