This is my oldest, who is doing Adventures.  He loved decorating his American History Notebook-he was really proud of it!

David Hazell talked about his white board he does for his kids, I LOVE this idea and have used it this past week, I give them an accountable kids ticket for privilage time for every block they mark off, Of course they don't get any until school is finished!  The card is for 30 min of computer time, tv time or any real special things they want to do!

Well I went a little crazy taking pictures of our first day of school!  We started the day Monday the 20th with doughnuts!  Our special breakfast to kick off our school year, I think they were more excited about the doughnuts then school itself, go figure.  Then I had baskets down in the schoolroom at their seats with their suprise school supplies and workbooks we will be doing this year.  They really enjoyed going though all the fun stuff.  My husband and I presented Sam with his first discovery Bible-my husband wrote an inscription in the cover that made me cry before we even got started!  You see a picture above with Sam with the Bible.  I'm so excited about us learning from that book, the one with real KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM  I then took their individual pictures, I have Sam 8 who is doing adventures and Zach 5 who is doing MFW K and Allie 3 who joins in with us when she wants.  I think she will really like some of the K stuff, she already counts and knows several letters.  I want to post picures regularly of our projects, I hope all who visit will enjoy!  I can't tell you how much we enjoyed our first week, this is our first year with MFW and we have loved it!  Even my Sam told me how much more he enjoys this year, I really think it will be our best yet!
