Friday Show N Tell

Posted in My Fathers World

Go to Candagirls blog to share your show n tell

Our fathers day theme we just finished up in our K curriculum was apples (very fitting for Fall)

Books we read for our apple theme.  The Best Apples to Buy and Grow was a great book to look at beautiful pictures of all kinds of apples.  The story of Johnny Appleseed by Aliki was loved by my K child.  He listened to every word but who doesn't love Johnny Appleseed?  Ten Red Apples was great because it enforced our counting, we really enjoyed counting the apples on every page and The Apple Pie Tree show all the seasons the tree goes through and how at the end you get a beautiful apple pie out of it, Very Good Book!

This is our badge.  Our saying for apple is When you Stay in Jesus, you will have much Fruit.

I love this apple tree we made.  It starts with his hand and a little of his arm.  Zach (5) and Allie (3), dipped their fingers in red paint and put the apples on it!  They had a blast with this!

My 3rd grader is learning all the names for Jesus, this past week is was LIving Water.  One of the verses went on his poster board with Jesus's names (I will post sometime) and the other on our pitcher of water to remind us everytime we pour water that Jesus is the Living Water.

I am excited about the coming weeks with MFW it is sad we are not on the same week but with you being ahead I see what is to come. I messed around with my blog for the first time and added the music box from finetune. I was so proud that it ended up on the page! Just wished it was in a different spot (I made a mistake) and now I am afraid to do anything to correct it. I figure I will mess it up and not be able to fix it. So when I get more time I will work on it. Can you come and chek it out. Not much is on there but I did something at least. I was not sure how to add you as a friend.
Still praying for your family,
Dorothy
