Tony always said that he was grateful for the cancer because it made him appreciate his family and his life even more. He also believed in positive thinking, he always had joy! He didn't have pity parties or the why me attitude. I think so often of how I feel so sorry for myself on occasion and for no good reason. I have a healthy family, great friends and so much more God has blessed me with yet it’s a constant struggle of the heart to remain joyful and content some days. This man struggled with health issues for several years yet wanted every day to savor life, never knowing when it might end for him. He also had such a strong faith and talked boldly about it. You don't see many journalists today that talk about that kind of faith. I heard Chris Wallace say today "He wasn't just a man who went to church on Sunday, HE lived it everyday!" I don't doubt for a minute that Tony is now home with his Savior, yet its still hard not to feel a great loss for us- A man who could play 6 different instruments, knew a ton about Washington and how it worked, and yet above all put God and his family first.

Sad news!
