Something New!

Homeschoolblogawards assignment this week is to share something new in our homeschool!  This was tough because we are not doing any new curriculum this year but then I thought of this.  This year in Exploring Country and Cultures which focuses on geography in My Fathers World we are using blow up globes.  Now of course we use maps, atlases, and regular globes but the blow up globe was something MFW recommended to play geography games with and to use to look up things as well.  We have had so much fun with them this year, they have been our favorite way to look up places for sure.  We have had a great time tossing them around too. And they are easy to bring with you when you move from room to room.  Just another fun thing to bring into your homeschool day.  We bought the small blue one from My Fathers World and the big one came from a lady at church who bought it for a partciular curriculum in our children's ministry that we are now done with.  I am not sure where she bought it though.

Blow-up globes are a great idea! My kids would love those. I'll have to remember that for next year when we do world geography!

I think that's great. Anything that makes learning fun for my kids gets an A in my book.

I bet those are fun, and you don't have to worry about the kids destroying them like they do when playing with a real globe. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Angela,
Thanks for the prayers. As for sleeping, let's just say I didn't do much of that the first couple of days :)

The stitches will come out Thurs. and I can't wait! I'll post when I get the final pathology report in.

I like those blow up globes. I think we have one around here (somewhere). We just might have to search it out this weekend, that sounds like a fun way to get some geography in. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend,
Beth
