Friday Show N Tell!

Posted in My Fathers World

Come join Canadagirl for more Show n Tells.

I thought it would be fun to start showing some of our school projects again when I can.  Some weeks we do hardly any hands on things and other times we do many.  Here are some we have finished recently or at the very end of the school year in the Spring.

This is our Jesus poster we finished at the end of our year in the spring with MY Fathers World Adventures.  My son enjoyed this so much!  All year we studied the different names for Jesus and then put the verses that had that name in it with a pic to color that the curriculum provided.  At the end we had a great board of the different names of Jesus!

This is a flag I did with my preschooler recently.  Its made out of popsicle sticks!

We made a Jewish Calendar with my first grader.  We are studying God's word for our history this year.  MFW believes in giving a firm foundation of God's word for First grade before they go on to learn about the rest of the world in history.  History begins with Creation!  I love that.

My 4th grader is studying the book of Matthew this year.  We wrote Matthew in Greek and then laminated it and made a bookmark.

This is my favorite.  In MFW Exploring Countries and Cultures they want our children to have passports.  Everytime we travel through a country in our studies we get a sticker for our passport.  Our first country will be Mexico.  My son had to fill out an application and everything to get one.  My husband made this for him.  He is such an artist and did a great job in making it authentic looking!

This is the inside of the passport!

What neat projects. I love the idea of a Biblical lapbook. I am trying to do more hands on projects this year, so I am always happy to see new ideas.
Blessings,

Project Mama! Your lucky kids! I did projects when I could. Enjoy such things while they're young. It was sad when I quit doing them eventually because they sort of "outgrew" the fun stuff and just wanted to get done with their work. *she sighs*

Great job! I love the art work... I posted about a lapbook we made this week. Putting things down like what you did really makes a difference in school work.

You have all done some great projects. You might like the International Towne lesson plan on the sidebar of my site. It would go well with your passport theme. Fun pictures, thanks for sharing!

Wow, Angela! What a great education you are providing! I love the emphasis on the Bible and using it as your history. Excellent!
The projects are totally cute. The flag popsicle, the Jesus board, and the passports are all really good ideas.

We still have our Jesus poster hanging in our school room! That was one of her favorite projects last year. I love seeing the pictures of the school projects. I am thinking I will have to do a post this week and include ours. Kid #4 loves seeing her work on my blog. :) Good job!!

Oct. 7, 2008 - song-pastor's daughters

WoW Great projects!
I wanted to tell you the other evening I was blogging around other's sites and came to yours which lead me to one of your friends (Time for tea, I believe) and she had a video of two girls singing and playing the piano. She wrote that the girls were sisters and daughters of your pastor. I loved the song and added to the bottom of a post I was doing about allowing God's grace daily. I thought the song was perfect with saying how we need God to hold our hand!
I have played it about 10 times already and my daughters and I are starting to sing along. Please tell them that they have such a beautiful sound and encourage them for us. I'd love to hear more from them. They are truly blessed with a gift from the Lord and I am so pleased to see that they are using their gifts FOR the Lord!
Have a wonderful week!
In Him,
