Friday Show N Tell!

Posted in Show N Tell

Last week I talked about  how I cherish things from our past or others to decorate or use in our home.  A good friend of mines mom always makes cookies and candy for a bunch of us every year.  She is a wonderful baker and we get a box full of chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter ones, candy and in years past her great sugar cookies which I love.  Well, arthitis has set in and she can't roll and press the sugar cookies of years past so I was blessed enough to inherit her cookie cutters.  She knew how much I loved them over the years and gave me those along with her recipe for them.  This is the set.  Everytime I use them I will think of all the years these cutters made cookies for some many people in her life.  I am honored they are in my kitchen now!

Oh, oh, oh! Those pics sent a little shiver down my arms. That's the same set I had for years. Now, alas, I think I"ve only got the star and one other left *sigh* I remember that angel. It was pretty fragile after cutting. Broke in half a lot (the cooky, not the cutter). LOL

But such memories! Our also had a holly leaf. But those silver ones were mine, too!

I think I love cookie cutters more than any other Christmas gadget for the kitchen . My mom has the camel, star, and the bottom tree cookie cutters. The camel and the start were my favorites. [0= It is soooooo neat that you inherited the cookie cutters and recipe. What a blessing ! I guess you now can bless others like she did. ( if you have the energy [0;)

Blessings and ((HUGS)) my SSiC

What a wonderful gift! I have a couple of cookie cutters from my grandmother and they are precious to me. It's usually the small things that are full of the most memories.

I hope you had a memorable Christmas!

Peace to you,
Renae
