I cannot believe it has been two months since I last blogged.  Life has been so busy this Fall, with one trip after another.  My hubby should be at home the next few weeks, as he finished his last business trip of the year this week in Chicago.

We did not get to go on this trip with him, and oh, how we would have loved to.  Cake is a tremendous American Girl fan and the American Girl Place is in Chicago (as well as a few other major cities).  She (let's make that WE) have wanted to go there for years now, and her Dad did not tell her his hotel was only a few blocks away until after he got there!!  I guess he thought he might have a stowaway!

Being the wonderful father that he is, and knowing how much Cake and Cam (and myself) would like to go, he went there himself and took photos of all of the displays of the dolls.  He was even quite impressed and promised to take us the next time.  He bought them a few items which we will keep a secret until after Christmas because Cake is my most dedicated reader.  I thought it was very sweet of him to come home through the airport carrying a BRIGHT red American Girl Place bag.  He made sure it did not get banged up and was in perfect condition when he arrived home.  He is such a good Daddy!!!

He also went to the Chicago Shedd Aquarium.  He said it was a great Aquarium, and we cannot wait to visit it.  They have a tremendous website with tons of educational adventures.  They have Lesson Plans galore, Interactives, and Explorers Guide.  While traveling to Chattanooga last month we went to the Tennessee Aquarium and since my sweetie has to travel there frequently we bought a membership so we can go with him and visit the aquarium next time he has a trip down that way.

To sum it up, we have had a very busy, but fun Fall.  We have done a lot of schooling in a non-traditional way, we have left our workbooks behind and experience learning with our eyes, ears, and hands, and we have found out this is much more fun!

We still manage to work in our "extra-curricular" activities, like Piano Lessons, TaeKwonDo, Art Lessons, Music Makers, and they are doing a Christmas revival of "Annie" in a couple of weeks.  Life is busy around here!!
