Hi ya every one sorry I haven't been on much because in 2 days its my little brother Elijah's birthday  I cant wait  He will be 2 years old.

Mum ordered all 3 of Mrs Marlow's books one of them came today I have got up to chapter 3 it is good. Me and my brother ( woody )  and sister  ( sunflower8 ) made toffee this Afternoon it didn't turn out very well  I will get round to commenting every one soon

Yesterday we went to our friends house. David has a real bow and arrow from Kenya. we did some target practice with it ! I stood against a bored and Davids Dad traced around me with road paint and we used my shape as a target . It was fun I will post again soon

 Hi every one! I don't know what to write HELP ! I haven't done anything exiting to post about but I decided to do a post anyway. I think I have something to write about. Today I did lesson 3 I haven't posted it on my writing blog yet I might do it later. I have lesson 4 printed so I have a lot of thinking to do!

This is my little brother playing on the trampoline. The trampoline is all covered with leaves it was Autumn when we toke the picture. We have a big tree in our back garden every Autumn it covers the ground with leaves on one of my other posts I put a picture of a shelter we built well we used all the leaves to cover it  .

I am going to write this post about what I have been making resently.
Me and my older brother made a kite each he has a book on how to make that kind of thing. first of all we got some Dowel ( a kind of wood ) and made the frame we let it dry over night and then we got some thin string and stretched it around the frame ( for the kites sail to go round ) finally we glued the cloth sail ( or what ever you call it ) around the string and let it dry.( One day later ) I made the ribbons for the string and fastened them to the kite. Now it's ready to fly I hope we get a windy day soon.

Hi every one!  me and my brother and Dad are making a little rocking horse for my little Brothers Birthday . we went on-line and got plans for one. He will be two! as soon as it's finished I will try to get some photos of it . this is a picture of a donkey while mum tryed to get a picture it tryed to eat the camera. lol!!

Recently I started a nature journal.  This is a finch that I painted in it.  There are more pictures on our nature blog.  I hope to do some every week.

Today we had lots of snow.  We went to the field behind our house.  The sheep were all covered in snow.  We were hoping it would lie but the rain started and melted it all.

Today I started a nature journal. We went to a place called the Address house it's a big estate with a big house on it.  It is owned by the national trust. We went on a walk through the grounds.

I sketched a picture of a big tree with lots of Ivy this is a picture of it I also painted a picture pf a finch.

Sorry I haven't been blogging. Me and my brother have been wood carving so I haven't been on the computer much. I made a axe out of wood.  First I cut out the shape then I filed and chiseled it in to shape finally I sanded it smooth. so that's what I have been doing.  Its my turn to wash the dishes!!  got to go !!!

Mum got it from Opitec it is a very cheap German catalog  which supplies schools with craft stuff.

Today we went down to a beach near Portrush where we discovered lots of caves.  We found lots of lime stone and volcanic rocks!

My brother brought some volcanic rock home here are some photos.

my brother was baking a banoffee pie just as he was about to take it out the fridge he dropped it ooooohhhhhh noooooooo its all over the floor its a big mess i was looking forwards to banoffee pie for pudding oh well.

Potato Bread.
 
Boil or steam 2lb potatoes with or without jackets. (make sure you peel after cooking if not before)
Mash potatoes well to a smooth consistency.
Add 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tbsp melted butter and 4oz plain flour and mix well. (you could do this with the potato masher).
Roll dough out gently on a well floured surface, to form a circle about 1/2 inch thick. Using a knife dipped in flour cut into slices as you would divide a round cake.  (it is quite sticky and doesn't need much working with - if you find it is too sticky work in a little more flour)
Using a palette knife or egg slice, lift pieces onto a hot griddle or frying pan which has been lightly greased with butter.
Cook until it starts to turn a golden colour and feels firm to touch, then flip over and cook the other side. In Ulster this bread is traditionally eaten for breakfast as part of the famous "Ulster fry" with fried bacon, eggs, tomatoes etc.

This is CJ's Mama here ... doing a bit of blog hacking.  He recently asked me to help him upload a profile photo and requested it be a 'serious' one, which was very, very funny.  The lizard one was decided on but since, I've had several complaints from his nibs and he wants it changed ... reckons that he looks "goofy"!  Which one do you think should be the new profile photo?  It was a tough job narrowing it down to the following eight.

sorry i have not been blogging for a while i have been on the other computer. Dad got a new computer game Colin mcrae 4 it is a rally game so i have not been on this computer much

On Wednesday we went to our friend's house and made two types of potato bread. One was plain and the other was apple potato bread which is potato bread with stewed apples in the middle. 

We cooked it on a griddle over the fire which is how they used to cook before electic stoves.  Potato and apple bread is from Armagh where they grow lots of apples. 

Potatoes were the main crop in Ireland.  When the crops failed in the potato famine lots of people died and lots of other people moved to America.  Here is a link to learn more about it.  Potato Famine

me and Bethany are baking carrot cake I have just finished the lunch dishes  me and my brother are going are going outside now to use our walkie talkies we got for our birthday. we have a big field out the back of our garden and our neighbors said we could go in it . On my profile picture you might be wondering what I am holding its this little guy here. I found him on the side  of the road on holiday when I was in Italy camping           

My brother bought a book in Tesco it tells you how to make things.( Like bows and  arrows shelters and things like that) so that's what I have been making. I made a shelter and am nearly finished it. I will going to put on some photos when I get round to it.
