My friend kateyz, aka CoffeeMom, has bestowed on me the honor of the “thinking blogger award.” Now I’m thinking I need to live up to this honor and think harder about what I write! Just kidding. I think my blog is where I stop thinking and let my thoughts just flow right through my fingers. Is that a unique observation or do any of you ever have that experience? The words either happen or they don’t. Anyway, I digress. See, I didn’t think about that, my fingers just typed it! I think it was so very nice of kateyz to give me this award and as my reward, I get to bestow this honor on 5 (or more) of my friends! Many of my friends have already been given this honor (good for you!!) so in addition to those, here are the ladies I have chosen:
1. CelticMom - I am always impressed with this lady’s devotion to her family and her occasional posts about thoughtful issues that really make me, well, “think”. She strikes me as being no-nonsense (I need friends like that!) and I always appreciate her comments. Besides, she’s Irish and so am I - another plus!
2. Nsremom - I’ve given this lady the award mainly because from her posts, I learn how to be less uptight about life. I admire the way she handles her life situations and love hearing about her kids. She makes me laugh! She’s facing a major move very soon and I’m sure her new home will be an adventure worth reading about!
3. Deedeeuk - This American mom living in the UK with her English husband has been a real joy to get to know. We have lifted each other up in prayer, especially during the lonely (and scary) nights when our husbands were away. She made me feel like a dear friend in a very short period of time. I enjoy learning more about Europe so it’s fun to hear about her day, knowing she’s eating breakfast when I’m just going to bed. She’s visiting Paris this week and I look forward to hearing about her trip.
4. Cathmom - This lady’s blogs teach me about Montessori-style education and make me think about the best use of our family’s time. Her life is about to change in a big way and I’m looking forward to reading about her journey.
5. Fallinglikerain - This lady has had the blessing of homeschooling for a long time and her posts have taught me a lot. I appreciate her gentle wisdom and love for her children. She was also very helpful when I was struggling to get used to my dh night schedule.
6. annointed - Her blog has been a blessing to me in many ways. Thoughtful support, prayers said and answered. Seeing the Lord work through her life has helped me look for ways the Lord has blessed me specifically.
7. crazybusy - This blog makes me think about how I should be capturing on film those special moments that happen in the lives of my kids! Her knowledge of photography is wonderfully showcased on her blog and she's happy to share her wisdom with others. We bonded on two issues - her dh is a nurse, as is mine, (she's a nurse, too) and we both live in the beautiful Northwest.
8. Wardsward - Connie gets a special award for bringing out my silly nature. The comments we have shared back and forth have been so much fun. I enjoy reading about the adventures of life with Connie, Norm and the boys. You never know what you'll find when you visit her site (and I mean that in a good way!)
I love this “thinking blogger award” idea. When the Homeschool Blogger Awards started, I wanted everyone to win. It was so nice (and such a surprise) to be nominated in the category of "Best Encourager”. I very much appreciate whoever nominated me. I also appreciate those of you who voted for me. If I can encourage even one person, I consider that a blessing and makes the time I spend on here meaningful. So, congratulations to all you “thinking bloggers”. Now it's your turn to pass the award of "thinking blogger" on to 5 of your friends. Have fun!
