A Bit Of A Break

I've decided a need a bit of a break from blogging.  This past week has been exhausting.  Dh's health has been an issue but I don't wish to blog about it at present.  We had our 19th wedding anniversary last Monday, celebrated with exchanged e-cards - too weird.  But hey, they are free!  Since he wasn't feeling well, we ordered out Chinese.  We purchased a painting last month, for his birthday and our anniversary, combined.  For the price, it will probably serve as a Christmas present as well.  But we both were excited by it.  And now we are beginning year 20 - unbelievable!

Anyway, until his health issues are resolved, at least for now, I think I need to concentrate on Todd and our family.  Just wanted to let you know I'm still here and hope everyone is doing well.  Enjoy August.  It's been cold and cloudy here, like, every day, with the occasional tease of sun break.  Doesn't help my mood.  I need sun!

Until later ...

God bless,

Kate

Hi Kate!
When I have a bit more time, I need to catch up with you a bit more, but just wanted to tell you happy (belated) anniversary! Nineteen years- awesome! :)
I'm sorry your hubby's still dealing with his health issues and completely understand the need for a break. I will keep him in my prayers.
And it has been totally yucky here too. All year pretty much. I cannot stand it. My mom is so restless about it, she's looking for another place to live... and if we have another summer like this, I just may join her!

Anyway, take care! HUGS!
Love, Alyssa

I hope hubby feels better soon. We've been dealing with illness too. Chase has Lyme Disease. Stage 2, I think. He's on meds and will be fine, but it's been a long couple of days.

My life is never boring.

I understand how you feel about needing a break. But feel free to stop by and just blog hello!
Prayers for healing.

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina

Although you won't be blogging for awhile, I'll be praying for you, Todd and the kids. I really hope to hear those health issues are things of the past before too long!
And 19 years is a great long time. Celebrate it.
Many blessings,
Paula

Dear Kate,
I hope this note finds your dh feeling better. I don't blame you for not wanting to blog about it. I don't blame you for taking a break. Your family needs you. I'll keep you all in my prayers. I hope your dh gets well soon.

Take care,
Vicki

I had not realized how far behind I was in blog reading until I read about your camping adventure and then noted the date. You had quite the adventure...and I'm sorry to hear about your DH's health. I do pray he gets better soon!

I'll miss you - but completely understand.
May the Peace of God fill you beyond capacity.

I just wanted to comment on your comment!
What a funny dream you had. I had a dream with you in it too, once. In part of it, I was sitting in a big jumbo on the way to visit the USA, realised that I'd forgotten to bring Andrew & the kids, and panicked.
But accents are a fascinating subject. Such an abundance of different ones in the UK, which is such a small place really! Most of our Aussie pre-schoolers put on a bit of an American accent at some stage, as a result of watching "Sesame Street." Mine's a bit weird, as I shared, but I'm sure you'd pick my dh & kids as Aussies straight away.
Also, letting you know I've just put some photos with a bit of good, country scenery around dh's workshed on my blog, if you'd like to pop by for a look.
Blessings,
Paula
