My Shortest Post

Since my last post was excruciatingly long, I have chosen to make this post extremely short.  I appreciate the hardy souls who endured my flat tire story to the end and commented - true blog friends!

Now, I have a question to ask:  I have had the same template always and wondered if any of you think I need to update it.  I kind of like the comfort of seeing the same header appear and it takes a snap to load.  On the other hand, I hate to be in a rut and, worse, I don't wish to be boring.  Is it time for a change?  Tell me your opinions.  I can take it!

Hey you! It IS comforting to see the blog header you know and love. I like you're bloggy home...it's peaceful. But it would be nice to liven it up a bit.
There's something weird about it...the fact that it's not even "real," but we get attached to the look of our bloggy home! I miss my hsb blog and have thought about starting to post just homeschool type stuff there again. I feel like I can't post HS thoughts because I might be alienating some readers at blogger...or they're just too personal...struggles & stuff. Anyway, I see you're keeping both up and running. Maybe I'll try it too! By the way...so cute that your husband took over your blog and posted on it. Crafty!

It's easier than it looks to change up a blog. Just ask me...queen of moving and changing. :)

But people don't come to your blog for the view....(since you refuse to add pictures just to spite me....haha)
We come for the snippets of your life that you offer. To touch base with you and your family, since you so generously offer yourself to us when we need prayer and advice. That's why we come.

so how's that for a non-opinion?

How is that for a helpful response? LOL! I actually read your blog in my RSS reader and only click over to comment. Saying that, it might be nice to have something 'personal' to you. I know a few people who have chosen this one, so I guess I don't think of it as only yours.

it's bound to be fun afterward.
The nice thing about blogs - they don't have to be the same all the time. What do you want to see? Does it suit your personality?

I'm all for changing it up -- but that's just randomly me. :-)
I can't keep the same hair style for 3 months either.

I think you need to do what makes you feel comforted! This is YOUR blog and you need it to speak to you. We come because we love you - not your background or heading! I have the same heading I've had for a long time and I love it. I'm sure others are tired of it, but it makes me happy, so I'm keeping it.

Take care, dear friend!! Hope you had a great weekend!

God bless you ~ Julie

There are proverbs for sides of the question.
'If you're on to a good thing, stick with it.' But on the other hand, 'A change is as good as a holiday.' You could always change it back. I like the peace scene on your blog too.

May. 27, 2008 - changing blog

I came to a place where my blog template was uninspiring and yet I like what it said about "me" (unless of course it was also saying I was uninspiring???!!!) Anyway initially I didn't have time to do anything about it and then one Saturday I said to my daughter - that is it! The blog is changing. We spent the weekend playing around with it. We had a huge learning curve that weekend but it was so worth it.

So my thoughts are - if you have the time, if you have the emotional energy to learn something new - go for it! But otherwise - it is plenty fine as it is. Like someone already said, we don't visit for a visual spectacle we visit to be encouraged!

Hey Mrs.Kate!

Thank you so much for that sweet comment you left me on my blog! And thank you for your prayers! My family and I have really needed them! But like you said, Jesus is the only comfort for this kind of pain. :-) And knowing that my Dad is in Heaven right now, helps a lot, too. :) I also want to thank you for sharing with me about what happened to your Dad. :)
Thanks again for the prayers!

talk to you later,
Jordan Lee
