Pocahontas (1)

Posted in Narrations

Pocahontas by Ingri & Edgar Parin D'Aulaire

Her father was Powhatten, he ruled a lot of tribes.  His daughter's name is Pocahontas.  She mostly played.  Every morning she took a morning bath. If it was winter, spring, fall or summer she took it at the river.  She comes out and plays with the boys while the other girls had to go in and help the women.  Her grandma knew a lot of things and a lot of stories.  She had a lot of stories to tell.  She thought there was someone smarter than her grandma and there was, the medicine man.  He knew some secrets.
