Shrike and Ruby-throated Hummingbird

Shrike


Song: "queedle, queedle"  It eats mice, insects, caterpillars and small birds.  He puts food on a thorn to keep it for latter.  Also makes it eaiser to tear.  He sits high on a tree looking for his prey.

Ruby-throated Hummingbird



Can actually hear their wings humming.  It is the smallest bird.  It can fly backwards and hover.  They have a very long beak.  Baby flies at 21 days.  They fly fast.  The boys have ruby-red on neck, girl doesn't
