Dec. 6, 2007 - Ridiculously fun and easy chocolate treats!

These are so easy I'm having trouble formulating "instructions".
Ingredients:
a box of Ritz crackers (plain)
chocolate
peppermint flavoring
food coloring (if you're using white chocolate)
nuts, crushed peppermint candy, cocoa powder, sprinkles, etc
Melt chocolate in microwave or double boiler (I like the double boiler--I always burn chocolate in the microwave, and burning chocolate is a terrible tragedy, you know). Dip crackers and scrape of excess chocolate. Lay onto wax paper or a greased tray. Sprinkle with embellishments of your choice. Put into fridge for a few minutes to set.
This is where it gets fun. If you use white chocolate, you can stir in food coloring. You can double layer the crackers, spooning white chocolate on first (or green, mint flavored white chocolate), letting that set, and then dipping in semi-sweet chocolate. Mmmmmmm.....

Let's see, how long has it been since I last commented on your blog... eons should cover it! These candy/cookie/crackers are a family favorite for us to. We've never embellished them before though and I love the idea of making them sandwhich cookies!
