Celebrating the "Beautiful Mystery".....
Jan. 12, 2009
Anyone read this???

Some time ago, I heard this statement: "You will be the same person you are 5 years from now except for the people you meet and the books you read"...

Read this book this weekend.... interesting. If you've read it I'd like to hear your thoughts...

Ashley is back at LU, and things have settled back into a routine around here. We were suppossed to get 6-10 inches of snow this weekend but it fizzled out like most of them do... oh well, it didn't mess with church so thats good. Ensamble weekend- awesome.

It is Farm show week, I don't think I am going to go. Dee is going today with her sil, once every 5 years is good for me. Of course the boys think differently...

Friday night we ate at 5 guys. they make a pretty good hamburger, Then we went over to Park City so the boys could use some gift cards. Mark worked OT Sat. I took Devan to b-ball.

Pretty slow weekend... crazy week ahead... something everynight....

I read it, I really liked it. I could hardly put it down. I found it so interesting and kept thinking "yeah, I really should think of God differently." I definitely think it helped me to see that God is not somebody to be so afraid of. Fear and respect yes, but afraid of, no. Plus, none of us know what heaven will be like for sure or what it will be like when we die, so I found it quite interesting. Brian and Lisa read it and they both really liked it. My mom read it too. Now I gave it to Jason's Aunt Cheryl to read.

I am reading "Escape" now. I like it. What a story to tell. What a horrible cult. It's very interesting.

Have a great Monday.

I want to read that book so much...I'm next in line for Jen's copy.
And I second that on the farm show...I hate crowds, so I told Ryan he's going to have to initiate this trip if it's going to happen.

I read it a while ago.........VERY THOUGHT PROVOKING!!!!! Just like Melanie's comment...makes you remember that God is a LOVING GOD even when bad things may happen! I told Mike to read it, but apparently, he doesn't listen to me, b/c months later when a buddy at breakfast told him about this great book called "The Shack," he immediately came home and said, "Hey, we have to get this book that so and so just recommended to me!" My words to him, "you idiot, I told you that 3 months ago, and it's been sitting on your nightstand but you didn't listen to ME!" :-) He laughed and read it in a matter of days and already passed it on to a guy at work...Jena is waiting for my copy! What were your thoughts?
