Wednesday
Today Rhonda came and picked up B for VBS....went and picked him up and ran out to Gayle's for a little bit. I was wanting to borrow To Train Up A Child from her since Rhonda had borrowed mine.
I think she is doing great with the book.....Congrats Rhonda. And I was jealous at how well behaved her kids were.....so I knew Gayle would have extra copies so I went to borrow one....and ended up buying it....THANKS GAYLE!!!
We went to Mom's Grand Opening for her Credit Union which had just moved to a new location....it was just me and the twins and Rhonda and her two younest kids as both our oldest kids were at VBS.
Then last night I skipped church (AGAIN) cause Caleb was having awful bad diarrhea all week....and even had one accident at Gayles house and one other "good" trip to the potty later....and all week we have marked territory at Rhonda's house. So there you have it....more than you ever wanted to know about my kids.....and WERE afraid to ask....
I am ready for well kids!

Sunday's Funnies
Today I am reminded how Parent-y I am....(is that a word....probably not.....just something that came to me....)Today the boys came to me and asked if they could watch a movie they had rented from the library. Last time we watched it they kicked each other, screamed at each other, ran thru the house, just not a good sit down and watch Movie.....it did not hold their attention. So while I was folding laundry he asked me twice about the same movie....and even went on to say we WILL sit down and watch it this time. I said No once....I'm not changing my mind. He went into the other room. Later he came back with a second video. Asked if they could watch it and without stopping from folding laundry I said yes you can watch that one......He immediatly ran thru the house screaming, "Josh, Josh mom said YES!"
How awful is it that they think I won't say yes.....or is it good parenting that they know I don't cave with the second request.....I'm see-sawing right now between which is the appropriate response......him screaming thru the house "Mom said yes" is a good thing.....or a bad thing.....

Caleb and Biscuit
Caleb is showing the most interest in learning to read....what does this say....what does this spell...and I guess my eyes were opened the most Sun afternoon while Dad was gassing the car up....I was telling him our friends were coming over for VBS to the church and he looked at me with paper in his lap and said "Mom, how do you spell friends?" I thought oh well this will be a mute point....but here goes.....F he put down an "s".......I said no....I bet you thought I said S....he said yes I did....I said no...F like fish....oh ok.....he wrote....F...."what comes next Mom"....R....he wrote R......then "what comes next, Mom" I said I....he wrote I...."what comes after I, Mom".....I said E....he wrote E....."what is next mom" N....he wrote N.....what is next....D......I had to show him a D.....and then he said what is next....I said S....to which he wrote a perfect S........he then said Friends....like he knew......LOL
So yest at the library I got J & C some Biscuit books (Beginner Readers) he sat down with me last night....and today....and he is actually picking up the reading......I know it is early....but just as B showed early signs of reading....so is Caleb.....J on the other hand shows no sign....so I am not pushing.....just got both of them a Biscuit book to "look at".....no pressure for Josh....but Caleb is enjoying so much reading to Mom and when he gets it right....he is so elated......he is 4.....not 5 till Sept.....wow!!!
So today we curled up on Mom's big King Waterbed and read Biscuit book.....he is sooooo excited at his "progress"!
