Thursday, March 22, 2007 - Purity Promise
Kayla had to write a persuasive paper for grammar this week. The topic was her choice--she wrote it beautifully!!
The best way to enjoy my life with my future spouse is to stay pure now. This may seem like a great task now, but it’s rewards are many. Purity is likened to a beautiful white rose. If I wished to give this rose to someone, would I let everyone else take it and do what they wished with it? No, I would care for it and protect it until I could give it to that person. It is the same with purity. The best life is a pure life.
Purity brings vast satisfaction. I will not have the guilt of past violations of my purity. Without this guilt, the rose remains untarnished. This purity will give me satisfaction, for I will feel that I have guarded myself and the flesh properly. This is in keeping with God’s plan for my life.
Keeping pure will cause my relationship with my future husband
Purity, and being pure, is part of God’s law. He has reserved some things for marriage. He has asked me to refrain from these so I might have a fuller and more blessed life.
Finally, I shall not be giving my future husband leftovers of myself. He will have the pleasure of my first kiss. He will be the first to hold my hand. He will be the first man, other than family, I say “I love you” to. He shall be mine and I shall be his. Purity will allow all this to happen.
