Our family is participating in the "Walk For Life" for the Charlotte Pregnancy Resource Center! This is a great Christian family ministry opportunity, as well as homeschool lessons in:
- morals & values
- ethics
- character quality of compassion
- current events
- civics: a pro-life practicum
- raising financial support
- English grammar and composition and keyboarding (writing e-mails or typing letters to raise money)
- math (tallying the monetary totals & writing checks)
- physical education (you are walking 2 miles, after all)
- etc., etc., etc.!
How can you refuse with THAT list? :) The best part is that your heavenly reward will far outweigh the earthly experience you accumulate!
Don't miss out on participating in this wonderful event! Below is the info for the Charlotte, NC area Walk for Life. Check with you local Crisis Pregnancy Center or Pregnancy Resource Center for more information on walks in YOUR area!

Charlotte Pregnancy Resource Center Walk for Life
Saturday April 25, 2009 9:00 AM US National Whitewater Center
Our annual Walk for Life is a spring event benefiting the Pregnancy Resource Center of Charlotte. This walk gives everyone a chance to learn about the ministry. It also gives everyone who cares about the unborn children and their mothers the opportunity to help in a practical way.
Rest assured, PRC does not engage in political or social activism. Our Walk For Life event is a family-oriented event for those who welcome a peaceful outlet to show their concern for the unborn babies and their moms. It is simply a walk to raise the community awareness of our services and to raise funds to continue FREE services to those in need.
You can register online HERE !
It's only about 2 miles so all ages can participate. You will be asking your family and friends to sponsor you with a single, generous, tax-deductible gift for your participation in the 2 mile event, instead of being sponsored on a per mile basis.
