Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg: I thought Roe was to rid undesirables

Posted in ProLife

In an astonishing admission, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg says she was under the impression that legalizing abortion with the 1973 Roe. v. Wade case would eliminate undesirable members of the populace, or as she put it "populations that we don't want to have too many of."

Nebraska abortionist wants to carry on Tiller's mission - so sad!

Posted in ProLife

This is heartbreaking! I can't believe how blinded these abortionists are! I've had friends who had baby's at 21, 28 and 30 weeks and they ALL survived! I can't imagine killing babies of those ages (or any age, for that matter, as they are so perfectly formed so early on) and calling it a "service" to women! It's nothing less than murder!

If You Are Planned Parenthood, Crime Does Pay

Posted in ProLife

Planned Parenthood (PP) released its annual report this week. It would appear that for Planned Parenthood, crime does pay -- as long as it is crime against humanity. Last year, while the rest of the nation was seeing a downward trend in relation to abortions, Planned Parenthood was perpetrating over 15,000 more abortions than the year before, for a grand total of 305,310 (while apparently offering no post-abortion counseling to the women who enter into PP's "clinics.") Added to this mayhem, Planned Parenthood distributed over 1.4 million "emergency contraceptive kits" containing the abortifacient called the "morning after pill." During this time the organization only did 4,912 adoption referrals. All this proved very profitable to Planed Parenthood as they posted a net profit of $1.014 BILLION. A clear 34 percent of that figure came from you - the U.S. taxpayer. Government grants to Planned Parenthood allowed the abortion industry to spend on a variety of things including contributing $10 million to elect President Obama and spending close to $1 million to lobby Congress for even more cash, claiming poverty in this time of economic crisis! This investment by Planned Parenthood has paid handsomely as increases in government funding have led to an increase in the number of abortions the group performs. Only when the abortion industry is completely separated from the government funding spigot will President Obama have any credibility when he says he wants to "reduce the number of abortions." Local governments like Orange County, California and Corpus Christi, Texas have realized this and defunded their local PP's - when will Congress? ~ Tony Perkins

White House confirms it got 2 million red envelopes!!

President's mail worker claims letter campaign 1 of largest in 35 years

By Chelsea Schilling
© 2009 WorldNetDaily

The White House mail office has confirmed it received a "deluge" of as many as 2.25 million red envelopes symbolizing the empty promise of lives snuffed out in abortion in a massive campaign that was larger than most White House mailing movements in the last 35 years.

White House mail worker "Steve" has handled letters for 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for more than three decades. Every single package and letter destined for the White House goes through his office.

Asked if he has seen a flood of red envelopes bound for the White House, Steve chuckled.

"Uh, yes," he said emphatically. "Believe me, they made it here."

Steve said while Obama has been occupied in Europe, his administration has noticed millions of red envelopes on behalf of aborted children.

"Quite frankly, there was definitely a deluge of mail coming through," he laughed. "I had to handle them all."

"I've been here 35 years, so I've seen presidents come and go," Steve told WND. "This campaign ranks up there with the big ones."

The Red Envelope Project is an idea sparked in the mind and prayers of a Massachusetts man, Christ Otto, who envisioned in January thousands of red envelopes sent to the White House, a visual expression of moral outrage over the president's position on abortion.

On the backs of the envelopes, senders wrote a message Otto composed: "This envelope represents one child who died in abortion. It is empty because that life was unable to offer anything to the world. Responsibility begins with conception."

The original project began small, but when Otto sent out an email to friends asking them to join him in the envelope effort, the symbolic gesture spread through the Internet like wildfire – eventually resulting in delivery of as many as 2.25 million red envelopes.

"Last Tuesday 2.25 million were sent all together," Otto told WND. "There were 1 million sent before that date. I keep getting e-mails, and I know that people are still sending them. This past weekend, there were at least 10,000 more sent just from churches announcing it on Sunday."

The Catholic News Agency reports that a consortium of 11 different student groups at the University of Notre Dame, in protest of the university's invitation of Barack Obama to speak at graduation, plan to hand deliver a surge of the red envelopes to the pro-abortion president when he arrives to give the commencement address in May.

Christ Otto

Otto said he expected no response from the White House.

"On Thursday their goal is to remove the conscience clause on physicians," he said. "So, they don't want any press."

However, WND was successful in confirming that the red envelopes did arrive.

Asked if he hopes President Obama will be influenced by the campaign Otto said, "I really hope that he is seeing them. I know that somebody in Washington is seeing them, for whatever that's worth. I do hope that it changes the president's heart."

He continued, "I also know that there are many people in our government – in both political parties – who believe that life and freedom are controlled by the state. They want to control who lives and who dies. So, it's not just the president, but there are lots of people in Washington who need to know that this was an important thing and that they are out of step with the people."

The Red Envelope Project has been provided with letters to cease and desist because it allegedly infringes upon trademark and copyright of another organization, but Otto said the campaign will comply with copyright issues and continue its work once the legal matters have been resolved. Details of the new campaign have not been released.

Nonetheless, Otto said the Red Envelope campaign was a resounding success.
"It has made a difference, regardless of what happened in Washington," he said. "Just the numbers of children that have been involved are huge. It's gotten a lot of people talking about the value of life. To me, that's priceless."

1 million red envelopes deluge White House

Posted in ProLife

By Drew Zahn
© 2009 WorldNetDaily

Over one million, empty, red envelopes have poured into the White House mail room, symbolizing the empty promise of lives snuffed out in abortion; and with Red Envelope Day planned for tomorrow, coordinators estimate that number could more than double.

The Red Envelope Project is an idea sparked in the mind and prayers of a Massachusetts man, Christ Otto, who envisioned in January thousands of red envelopes sent to the White House, a visual expression of moral outrage over the president's position on abortion.

On the backs of the envelopes, senders write a message Otto composed: "This envelope represents one child who died in abortion. It is empty because that life was unable to offer anything to the world. Responsibility begins with conception."

"We are trying to change the president's heart," Otto writes on a website explaining the project. "This is a message to a man that God hears the cry of innocent blood. It is not a political stunt, although I hope it changes policy in Washington. If the capital is flooded with so many letters that no one can deny it, I am hoping the image will be burned into Barack Obama's mind that this is about human blood, and that he lies awake at night until he cannot resist doing something about it."

The original project began small, but when Otto sent out an email to friends asking them to join him in the envelope effort, the symbolic gesture spread through the Internet like wildfire.

"I sent an email to 120 people who pray for me daily, and asked them if they wouldn't mind sending a red envelope, and if they thought it was a good idea, forwarding it on to their friends," Otto told WND. "About a week and half later, a friend told me to Google it, and I found about 30 blogs dedicated to the red envelopes."

Otto told WND a few days later, he began receiving contacts from national pro-life organizations and churches that had taken up the cause.

By February, Otto learned of a Texas man named Brian Potter, who set March 31 as Red Envelope Day, a date when supporters would drop hundreds of thousands of the envelopes in the mail, presumably being delivered to the White House near the beginning of Holy Week, just prior to the start of Passover.

Potter's Red Envelope Day website has also partnered with AmazingCauses.com to enable supporters to send the red envelopes online in one easy and coordinated effort, so that, in Potter's words, "they will send out a truckload of envelopes to the White House."

Visitors to Otto's site have testified to over 1.1 million envelopes sent so far; Potter's website records more than 125,000 envelopes waiting to be sent on March 31; and Otto told WND churches around the country are piling up envelopes, thousands at a time, preparing to mail an estimated quarter of a million tomorrow.

Christ Otto

Otto told WND the message on the backs of the envelopes was crafted in response to a previous Obama speech, his inaugural address.

"The president spoke for a long time about creating a culture of responsibility, and part of creating a culture of responsibility was not taking the lives of the innocent. He actually said that in his inaugural address," Otto said. "That was why I added the line, 'Responsibility begins with conception.'"

Otto's FAQ page about the project also explains why the color red was chosen:

"The envelopes represent the innocent blood shed through abortion, and the plea for the blood of Jesus over the sin of our nation," writes Otto. "This campaign is a symbolic act to flood the mail with red. The more we send, the more powerful this symbol will be."

Otto told WND he thought a few thousand red envelopes would simply be a statement, showing that there are still people who care about the abortion issue deeply. As more and more people have joined him, however, Otto says the red envelopes are having an effect

"Do I think it will change the President? I don't know," Otto writes on his website. "Last week I received an unsolicited call from a senator's office. They thought that I was in Washington, and that I must have a huge PAC. This gave me indication that someone on Capitol Hill knows about these envelopes. So, I guess it is making a difference."

Otto told WND, "As I've watched this grow, it's become clearer and clearer to me that the thing I'd like people to see is that they can make a difference in whatever they do. The message of my life is to listen to God and do what he tells you. And if you listen to God and do what he tells you and live a live of prayer and obedience, you can make a difference.

"I know this has empowered many people who felt powerless before this came along," Otto continued. "I know that there are thousands of people involved – there are a quarter of a million on Facebook alone – and if people can see that they still have a voice, to me, that means it's a success."

Details on how to participate, including specific instructions to ensure envelopes aren't sent to the dead letter bin, are available at RedEnvelopeDay.com and The Red Envelope Project website.

How to join in the RED ENVELOPE Day to protest abortion on March 31st

Posted in ProLife
This is another project we are taking on as a family! Consider doing it with your family, as well! From everything I've heard, this is to be a BIG event, but we need SO MANY more to participate! Pass this on to others!

~ Lisa Metzger

Help send a message to the President that will impact the world.

A quiet and dignified protest of the way abortion is being handled in our country is being planned for March 31st. This is a simple way to let our new president know how we feel about the horror of abortion.

Things You'll Need:

  • Red Envelope
  • stamp
  • President Barrack Obama The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington , D.C. 20500
Step1
Purchase a red envelope and address it to President Barrack Obama, The White House; 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW; Washington, D.C. 20500

Step2
On the back of the envelope write this message ... "This envelope represents a child who was killed by abortion. The envelope is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be part of our world."

Step3
On March 31st mail the envelope. 50 Million babies have been killed because of abortion. The goal of this event is simply to let our president know that many of us oppose this hideous act of legal violence against unborn babies. In this quiet way, our voices can be heard.

Hillary Clinton to receive Planned Parenthood's highest honor--the 2009 Margaret Sanger Award

Posted in ProLife

And the Award Goes to...

Tomorrow in Houston, Texas, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to receive Planned Parenthood's highest honor--the 2009 Margaret Sanger Award. The gala, which takes place down the road from the construction of America's largest-ever abortion facility, has been in the works since Hillary's days in the Senate. To many, it reinforces the strong alliance between the Obama administration and the radical pro-abortion crowd.

As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is the most visible American ambassador. What better way to show her support for the President's newest export--overseas abortion--than share the stage with one of the federal government's prime partners in that effort? According to the organization's press release, Clinton is being lauded as "a champion of women's health and rights throughout her public service career."

Of course, the question remains whether this award is even an honor. If "no one is pro-abortion," as Barack Obama insists, then why agree to be celebrated by the number one supplier of abortion in America? It's an organization whose founder embraced eugenics, targeted "the unfit" for "extinction," and whose current staff is on record as accepting racially motivated donations in seven different clinics nationwide. It's an organization that fights to bar parents from the medical decisions of their 12-year-old daughters. According to videos in at least four states, Planned Parenthood has been involved in serial statutory rape cover-ups. Allegations in California point to an estimated $180 million of fraud. In at least two states, Planned Parenthood petitioned for the construction of abortion clinics under false pretenses.

Really, is this an award that anyone--including Hillary Clinton--should covet? Its very name, the Margaret Sanger Award, is a tribute to a woman whose life's mission was to "build a race of thoroughbreds." Planned Parenthood's long campaign to promote abortion on request, celebration of sexual libertinism, eugenics, and radical prejudice is the worst foreign policy message our nation could send--and tomorrow they crown their messenger.

This spring, April 25th 2009, all 8 Metzger children - Annalise, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Trey, Jake, Julia, Ellie, and Judah - and their parents, Mark and Lisa, are taking on a new family ministry by participating in an important event in our community. The Pregnancy Resource Center is having a city-wide Walk for Life. We are asking our neighbors, friends and family to sponsor us. Will you be willing to be one of our sponsors, as we seek to raise money for The Pregnancy Resource Center, so that they may continue to provide loving options for both mothers and pre-born babies?

If you would like to participate with us by being one of our sponsors, we would really appreciate it, and the pre-born babies would be eternally grateful, as well! Sponsorship is for the event, not per mile, and gifts of any amount are tax-deductible. Our goal, in our family ministry, is to raise $20 per person in our family - a total of $200! Of course, the more we raise, the better! :)

The Center we will be representing is a non-profit Christian ministry, which served over 3,000 clients in 2008. Many of these clients are teens and women who are faced with difficult circumstances in their pregnancy and need the emotional support and practical assistance offered for FREE at the Center. The Pregnancy Resource Center is a confidential, Christ-centered ministry that empowers individuals to make life-affirming choices in today's world. Your sponsorship will enable them to continue their efforts in impacting the Greater Charlotte area by providing these various services.

Every Walk Dollar Helps:

  • Teens hear the challenge of abstinence with one-on-one peer counseling.
  • Pregnant women hear the truth about their options, while we pray that they will choose life for their pre-born child within them!
  • Provide limited ultrasound, which helps women see the life that is within them, so that they can make a more informed decision.
  • Young moms-to-be to prepare for birth and parenting challenges.
  • Needy families can earn vouchers for baby items by attending HOPE classes.
  • Struggling women find emotional and spiritual recovery after an abortion in the PATH support program and/or through individual counseling.
  • Clients learn and hear about the love and forgiveness of Jesus!
Our goal is to raise $200 (or more!) to help save babies and help mothers!

If you want to sponsor us in this LIFE-saving and LIFE-changing event, please fill out the section below by printing it out and mailing it back to us by April 15th (tax day!). Beat Planned Parenthood and Defend Conscience Rights

Beat Planned Parenthood and Defend Conscience Rights
March 20, 2009 | Share with Friends

Dear Lisa,

President Barack Obama is proposing regulations to strike or weaken current regulations implemented by then-HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt that protect the conscience rights of health care workers. Congress has passed three laws (Church Amendments, Coats Amendment, and the Hyde/Weldon Amendment) over the past 35 years protecting such rights; however, no regulations had ever been implemented until January 20, 2009 when the former administration put into effect regulations to defend the conscience rights of healthcare workers. Unfortunately, President Obama wants to rescind these regulations and may issue weaker ones in the future. The regulations President Obama is planning to rescind would ensure that programs that receive federal funds, including federal, state and local government programs, do not discriminate against health care workers who object to participating in such practices as abortion and sterilization. We need you to submit comments to HHS in support of these regulations to enforce current law because groups like Planned Parenthood have supplied thousands of comments to HHS asking them to rescind these pro-conscience regulations. The deadline for submitting comments is April 9, 2009.

In submitting your comments, please provide information to HHS as to your awareness of the conscience protections contained in currently law. For instance, did you know that health care providers -- both persons and organizations -- have conscience protections under federal law? Do you know of a case or cases in which an organization with which you are or were affiliated did not know of these federal rights? Provide examples where a lack of knowledge of conscience rights led to coercion to a violation of conscience.

Describe fully any cases in which you have experienced discrimination against your conscience related to a health procedure, including but not limited to the performance of abortion. Describe fully any instances of which you have direct knowledge in which an organization has been discriminated against by the local, state, or federal government for its refusal to perform or not perform certain medical procedures. Similarly, were either you or your colleagues discriminated against because you were unwilling to perform, participate in, or refer a patient for an abortion?

Please indicate whether public outreach or education programs alone would have been sufficient to prevent the discriminatory behavior in your case. For example, would the organization or person who discriminated against you have complied with the law only if they had been threatened with sanctions?

If you follow the link below, we've provided a sample comment you may use or edit to include your own arguments and experiences.

Republican National Chairman, Michael Steele, says abortion is a choice, homosexuality is not! Vote NOW!

Posted in ProLife
We've got to turn the Republican party around from where it's headed! Without morality, the Republican party will die. More importantly, without morality, our country will experience even more of a spiritual decline! How sad! Make your voice heard!!!Click Here to Vote quickly Now! ~ Lisa Metzger

 Steele
In a recent interview, Republican National Chairman Michael Steele told GQ magazine that he supports abortion rights. "I think that's an individual choice (to have an abortion)," he said.

GQ: Are you saying you think women have the right to choose abortion?

Steele: Yeah. I mean, again, I think that’s an individual choice.

GQ: You do?

Steele: Yeah. Absolutely.

Steele later issued a statement "clarifying” his comments regarding abortion saying he is “pro-life.”

Steele also disputed the view that being homosexual is a lifestyle choice. "I don't think I've ever really subscribed to that view that you can turn it on and off like a water tap.  ...You just can't simply say, oh, like, 'Tomorrow morning I'm gonna stop being gay.' It's like saying 'Tomorrow morning I'm gonna stop being black,'" explained Steele.

Steele said an amendment to define marriage as a union between one man and one woman is a state issue and is “mucking around with the Constitution.”

In light of Chairman Steele’s remarks, should he resign as Chairman of the Republican National Committee?

We ask that only registered Republicans, or those who voted Republican in the last election participate.

Sincerely,

Donald E. Wildmon,
Founder and Chairman

Obama seeks to take away religious rights of doctors and health care providers who refuse to perform abortions - Sign the petition!

Posted in ProLife
It only takes a SECOND of your time.....

Urgent: send your e-mail to the White House today!

According to several news agencies, President Barack Obama will rescind the "conscience rule" that protects health workers who refuse to participate in abortions or other medical procedures that go against their moral and religious beliefs. If the rule is rescinded, doctors, nurses and other health care workers could lose their jobs or be punished professionally for adhering to their sincerely held religious convictions. Obama's proposal would take away their religious freedom.

The current rule empowers federal health officials to cut off federal funding for any state or local government, hospital, clinic, health plan, doctor's office or other entity if it does not accommodate employees who exercise their right of conscience. It applies to more than 584,000 health care facilities.

The Obama administration is doing the bidding of pro-abortion advocacy groups who seek to penalize health care providers who refuse to participate in abortions.

According to The Washington Post, Obama administration officials stressed that the proposal will be subject to 30 days of public comment. That is why it is so very important for you to let the White House hear from you today.
Take Action!
Send your e-mail to President Obama opposing his plan to rescind the "conscience rule."

Forward this to family and friends and ask them to do the same.

Baby born alive at abortion clinic and then killed! How sad!!!

Posted in ProLife

This is so sad! Both pro-choice and pro-life people are in shock over this story. ~ Lisa

Up on Drudge's front page now is a link to the following EXCELLENT AP story (as well as a link to a LifeSiteNews.com story on the civil lawsuit)...

Eighteen and pregnant, Sycloria Williams went to an abortion clinic outside Miami and paid $1,200 for Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique to terminate her 23-week pregnancy.

Three days later, she sat in a reclining chair, medicated to dilate her cervix and otherwise get her ready for the procedure.

Only Renelique didn't arrive in time. According to Williams and the FL Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.

What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic's owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant's umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.

Police recovered the decomposing remains in a cardboard box a week later after getting anonymous tips.

With little research, you can verify that this info is indeed true. Even Focus on the Family has agreed with this view. Very sad and very dangerous! Be informed!

Planned Parenthood even Admits that "The Pill" can cause an abortion! Now will Christians listen???

Posted in ProLife

It's amazing that even Planned Parenthood (the leader in providing abortion counseling AND abortions) admits ON THEIR website that "the pill" can prevent a fertilized egg (meaning a BABY - if you believe life begins after conception) from being able to implant in the uterine lining!

"The hormones in combination and progestin-only pills also thin the lining of the uterus. In theory, this could prevent pregnancy by interfering with implantation of a fertilized egg. But there is no scientific evidence that this occurs."

NOTE: Actually, there is evidence.....simply read the manufacturers description and instructions on the BOX and check out this:
