I finally broke down and made these for D1 because she kept interrupting our verse review to discuss whether the letter was /k/ for Carl or /g/ for Grandma. I made them out of corduroy because I thought it would feel nicer than sandpaper and because I had a skirt that was ready to find another life. The color combination is atrocious; I should have looked harder for the white index cards but I haven't seen them since we moved. Maybe they'll turn up when we move again.

She was quite pleased with them when we made them, and we had fun working on them together. She hasn't shown much interest in them since, but that's fine with me. Next I plan to make G and then maybe M and P.
